  1. QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 13, 2007 -> 03:50 PM) I've never met him so I have no first-hand experience with him, but I've heard many people say he's quite a prick. I HATE when people make posts like this. If you've never met Pat Foley, don't spread bulls***. I've met him numerous times, and he's about as nice a guy as they come. He's dedicated to his craft, one in which he is just about the best voice in, and trust me is as nice as they come. Please don't spread things like this. Unless you have first-hand experiences, you should keep quiet.
  2. Garza = good Floyd = bad comparing the two of them? dumb.
  3. Hmmm... which platform will Halo3 be on? Oh, you say XBox 360? winnar.
  4. QUOTE(WHITESOXRANDY @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 07:32 AM) I'll go out on a limb here and say that the Sox will finish behind the Twins each of the next 3 years. How profound. Good reasoning, too.
  5. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Aug 15, 2007 -> 09:41 PM) everyone who has criticized him. Thoughts? link?
  6. I'm trying to get tickets to Jersey Boys, and from what i can find on the Web, people seem none to pleased with balcony seating. Of course, my first wedding anniversary can't fall on a THURSDAY, it has to be a SATURDAY. Can someone clue me in if I'd be happy in the balcony, or the extreme left orchestra?
  7. can't argue against Yahoo... I use nothing else.
  8. My god, this movie, oh lord.
  9. Just use Amazon.com... that's what I always use. Other sites have much less traffic and will take much longer. Everyone knows and loves Amazon.
  10. He should never play professional baseball again..
  11. I would love for the White Sox to sign him.
  12. Hopefully the Sox put him in a save situation this evening and he comes through... you all are right, if this were Rivera or Papelbon, it'd be all over the place. Congrats Bobby!
  13. Yes, Ozzie is really good at making sure players are comfortable to go for individual records.
  14. QUOTE(sin city sox fan @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) I know its a farfetched possiblity...but we can all dream! Go Sox! Go Gavin! Screw the Miracle Mets....we are the Super Sox of '07! what the f***.
  15. 06 Chicago White Sox: Defending World Series Champions 07 Detroit Tigers: not.
  16. What's wrong with Fields' in left and an arbitration-signed, heatlhy Crede at 3B?
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 07:18 PM) Why in the world would anyone want him here? because he's f***ing amazing? Did I miss something where 31 year old shortstops who regularly put up MVP type numbers (and is only having a injury issues this year, yet still hitting .300) are not welcome on the team?
  18. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) I don't want to hear about Big Al having better numbers. He ain't even 1/10 of the player that Kev is. I'd say he's 4/10 the player, but thats just me!
  19. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) Not to be rude, but why are you accusing me of doing something I'm not? Man... he was just trying to help.
  20. gotta bring it up, but in a heart to heart, not a confrontation.
  21. QUOTE(Spiff @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 03:58 PM) I don't think some of you even watch basketball, nevermind the Celtics. Rondo a scorer? What? Jefferson better numbers than Garnett next year? What? Three ballhogs? What? Steve93 I don't even know what the hell you are on. The Celtics had the worst record in the east, yes. But they were hovering around .500 until Pierce (who was by far their best player, obviously) got hurt and they went on a losing streak. Then he came back and they did ok for a while then Danny and Doc decided it would be better to try and tank the rest of the year. Basing anything off of last year is probably one of the dumbest things you can do. Also I like how your top 3 seeds are Chicago, Orlando and Toronto. That sounds very logical. I am a bit wary of all the hype the Celtics are getting all of a sudden; I'm not ready to put them into the NBA Finals, but I do expect them to be in the top half of the east. They need a couple more bench guys, but in the NBA you only need an 8 or 9 man rotation anyway. Dude, you think a bit too highly of yourself. To expect Pierce, Allen, and Garnett to play 82 games is just plain dumb, and with the steps Howard is going to take this year and the addition of Rashard Lewis, Orlando is going to be nuts, and during the second half last year Toronto was great, and is ready to take the next step. If you want to be like the media conglomerates and crown the Celtics, that's fine... some of us think for ourselves. I don't expect you to be here admitting your wrong in May of next year... but it'll feel just ask good for me.
  22. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 02:19 PM) To the poster who said that the Sox should have traded Count for the same package... What the hell? Freddy was clearly in decline, maybe injured, and on his walk year. Count was one of the Sox best starters and most would have said that at worst count was going go tbe an above average pitcher this year. The deal for Garcia will always be a good one because of the fact we didnt have to pay his salary and it atleast gave us 2 pitchers, and if 1 of them becomes even decent its a fleecing. badger, don't try to figure these idiots out. apparently they are all better GMs than Kenny and all saw the decline of Contreras coming and all said this before the season started (they didn't).
  23. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 1, 2007 -> 02:04 PM) He was only talking about the Acquisition. Not the Removal. if you get a couple of pitchers with any sort of potential, hell a couple of young pitchers with minor league contracts, for a guy who was declining, making a decent salary, going to walk, and wound up injured, it is a great acquisition.
