QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 08:50 AM) I bet all 6 of their fans are really excited. For the season the Heat are at 100.7% of capacity (good for 5th in the NBA). Let's put that thought to rest. FWIW, Bulls are #1 at 102.6% of capacity, averaging almost 1,000 more fans than the #2 team. I really think not enough is made of how amazing a basketball city Chicago is...

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 08:17 AM) Big game-winner for Toews. I can't even stay up past 10 PM anymore, so I missed it. Now that they are healthy again for the most part, need to get some points on this homestand. I was very happy to see Toews get the tally for that one... he's really adopted the captain title seriously and is showing our other "stars" that you can play through pain. I hope everyone voted for Sharp for the All-Star team. Luckily last night was the last night for voting so he gave some an even bigger reason to vote.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 10:34 AM) Oney Guillen's twitter page is probably the 1000th thing that a FA would consider when looking for a team. There are worse things printed in the NY post. And this is why this story is so stupid. I applaud this post.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) Ultimately, this s*** has to stop. This annoys me more than makes me angry. What other managers' son has ever caused as much friction as Oney has the last couple years? Lame. I wouldn't mind another manager in place of Ozzie. But not because his son is retarded. That Darren Baker screwed all bat boys over forever.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 09:44 AM) You just got one since there is now about a 99.8 percent chance your must win game Sunday will be meaningless for the opponent. You've also got a few important questionable calls that have gone your way from the officials in games this season. But I'll ignore that, because obviously you're not 9-6 and fighting for a wild card because you can't run the ball, took 18 penalties in a key game against the team that won your division, and have losses to 5-10 Detroit, 7-8 Miami, and 6-9 Washington. You're 9-6 because of injuries, mystique and voodoo, God liking the Bears more, and so on.

Obviously I saw it in the theaters, but I waited to watch Inception again until receiving the BluRay for Christmas... it might be even better the 2nd time you watch it since you can see the story pulling together while knowing the ending and how things play out. What a fantastic movie.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 09:15 AM) On his first day Boozer said something like "this is Derrick's team, I'm just here to help." That eased my concerns about him fitting in. This is one of the most tightly knit group of guys I've seen in the NBA. No prima donnas, no headcases, just a bunch of guys playing basketball with a goal. They all congratulate each other after a good play. They're all driven to win. It's actually quite refreshing to watch. Agreed. Boozer being the ultimate cheerleader and first guy off the bench to give congratulations at a called timeout while he was rehabbing from his broken hand also confirmed to me that he is a great teammate.

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 08:35 PM) Yes. He was hated in Cleveland and considered to be a locker room cancer in Utah. http://www.sportsviews.com/blog/49991/The_...cers_in_the_NBA One problem with the internet is the fact that any moron can post a blog littered with grammatical and spelling errors, make up a bunch of "facts" Nd then have it reposted after a Google search finds it. Cleveland was dumb to let him out of his contract, and Boozer took more money elsewhere. As for the Utah comments, I see no truth there. My eyes tell me Carlos is quite an awesome player and an even better teammate.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) No matter how many times you dismiss fans for being in their right to boo Chelios, you're still wrong. I never said the fans didn't have the right to boo him, they are just classless hacks for doing so.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 04:19 PM) Yeah but the only teams that really made the Bears look bad were the Pats and the Giants. The Giants were playing great ball at the beginning of the season as well. I think the Bears can beat any team in the NFC. Whether or not they will is another question. The Giants were 1-2 entering that game with huge losses to the Colts (38-14) and Titans (29-10).

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) God I hope he's in the dunk contest. I haven't watched one in about 4 years and haven't cared to. I'd clear my schedule to catch that show. When asked if he was interested in taking part in this year's dunk contest, Blake Griffin responded: "That would be cool. If it's something that the league wants me to do, I'll probably try to do it."

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 03:15 PM) I like Simmins podcast and all but him and Lombardi on the latest and even in past ones this year just undermining the Bears gets annoying. I don't think the Bears will get to the Super Bowl but they rip the O line, even though anyone who watches knows it has gotten better, than say the same about Philly and the Giant while proclaiming them condensers to beat Atlanta. Also say the Bears are the weakest NFC team that will be in playoffs. Really? Weaker than the west winner? I think the Bears would destroy Seattle if they played them now. Just seems nobody wants to recognize the Bears adjustments and improvements and just want to judge on Pats game. Listen. Their points on the Bears' offensive line were all dead accurate. It is complete garbage. They have adjusted well-enough to pull out victories, yes, but the Bears have had a lot of luck fall their way this season, be that with non-touchdowns vs the Lions or facing 3 non-starting QBs and getting half of the last game without Favre. Yes. The Bears looked surprisingly awesome against the Eagles, but that Patriots defeat was about as convincing a defeat as you will ever see on our home turf. Don't let national pundits get to you... that Pats loss was huge and stuck out like a sore thumb. Hopefully the Bears continue to improve, but their line is still really, really bad.
