  2. The moral of the story is to boo Dewayne Wise.
  3. MacDonald was hilarious last night, but he was definitely on a lot of drugs during that Roast.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 03:42 PM) I call photoshop. Thanks for playing, but that ain't photoshop.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) Derrick- what the hell are you doing? Sounds to me like he's cheating on his SATs, having grades altered, flashing gang signs, smoking weed, and generally a terrible person. May the media continue to pile-on. WE LOVE YOU DERRICK season ends F*CK YOU DERRICK season starts WE LOVE YOU DERRICK sometimes this crap is a joke.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 01:20 PM) Would you say what you're about to say to the person directly if they were holding onto you and you were dangling over a cliff? If it was Wise I'd boo him.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 09:53 AM) What's the fascination with other teams' crap? The Sox have enough of their own. If Wang is healthy and able to pitch, the Yankees won't trade him. Wow, you just managed to define "buy low".
  8. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 12:13 PM) I've learned over the years you just have to let the losing go. Every year you will eventually be disappointed if the goal is to win a World Series. So sit back ,relax , and strap it down. And when we lose get up ,unstrap it, take a deep breath and go spend time with the wife , kids, g/f ,or bff and realize what's really important in life. Just don't strap it on.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 12:07 PM) I love your love for his love for the other love for Viciedo's love of mashing
  10. If there's no jail time, then bringing in Plax is a must.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 11:58 AM) Yep and it really is a great situation since Viciedo is quite the talent. That said he's gotten better and better each month in Bham and I fully believe we'll see him up in September to get a cup of coffee. He is going to be an incredible hitter, the only thing that might prevent him from being a perennial all star might be his lack of plate discipline, but the guy flat out can rake and uses all fields. He's going to be a special one. I love Viciedo. I love your love for Viciedo.
  12. QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:03 PM) Are you going to be dressed as William Wallace?

QUOTE (Stocking @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 10:53 PM) Back to Band of Brothers, I know its said about every movie or series created but everyone should read the book by Stephen Ambrose. Actually anything by Ambrose is riveting. For as much as those men abhorred Sobel, they equally knew its was cause of him that they were so successful. The series really did an excellent job, though sobel is half the prick he is in the book. The book is good. If anyone out there has yet to see Band of Brothers they should prioritize it. It was f***ing incredible... I watched it in college after it came to DVD and have sat through it at least 4 times.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 09:50 AM) Was hoping some of the oldies in here might remember a classicly terrible movie. Ha. Old people. Your transgression has been forgiven. On a semi-related note, anyone see the Conan old people focus group? Hilarious.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 10:56 AM) I want to point out that we are serious about seeing changes, if people don't change, we'll have to do things that we at Soxtalk don't like to do and it starts with warnings and possible suspensions and would end with bannings. People need to understand that this site wasn't built to be a cesspool, rather as a tremendous resource and community of awesome Sox fans!!!! Edited for hopeful correct statement.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 09:12 AM) Some sound medical advice for a thumb. Go to the 1:13 minute mark. That was a lot of setup for a not funny joke. Sorry.
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:26 AM) apparently the washed IN Cuban players arent desirable
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 04:27 PM) I'm sure Jason would agree with me.....if you go into the FutureSox forum, that's some of the best discussion on this website. Once it works on Firefox (hey I tried to help you) I'll be there.
  19. BOO!!!! THIS POST SUCKS!!!! We all have to realize that even though we won't win the Series this year, the seeds are being planted.
  20. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 09:02 AM) Stoney is too dignified to get in on that type of homerun call. He had no problem joining Chip Caray in a "HE GONE!" when the Cubs beat the Sox years back. I was ready to f***ing murder someone.
  21. QUOTE (Getupstretch39 @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 02:41 PM) Off topic- I love Hawk but I'm not really a fan of his new double "yessss" call....anyone else like it? I miss the old drawn out Yes. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!
  22. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 09:05 AM) Ptatc, you are awesome. Tell me what the medical terminology is from your avatar, brokemyf***ingarmitis? I believe its "Mommy,IwishIweredeadrightnowitis" Yeah, they have commas in medical terminology now.
  23. Yo, I haven't tailgated there since 2005, because I normally go on weeknights straight from work or have wifey with me. Anyway, planning to go to a 3pm game on a Saturday, and I was wondering what time the lots open up for tailgating, and if there are certain lots that do not allow it. Any help would be appreciated. -Steviekins
  24. Top Chef Masters debuts tonight.
