  1. Davidson giving this away combined with Marquette hitting 3's late.
  2. Man this is awesome every year. LMAO. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/tournament-of-bad/
  3. Louisville Ohio St Kansas IU Louisville over IU
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:39 PM) DJ Stephens from MEM ST is an amazing leaper. Jackson's a good ballhandler and floor leader. Memphis State is pretty unknown, but definitely looks dangerous and could make a very deep run. Not very many interesting games yet...Bucknell put on a huge run against Butler, but it got answered and the Bulldogs pulled away in the end. The Bisons' 2 time conference player of the year started out 1/10 and just never really got going. They are so unknown that they aren't in the tournament.
  5. 1/9 from this NBA-caliber center? Not impressed.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 10:11 AM) Oh I dont consider him their top player but yeah he's one of their best. I forgot he was still suspended. Hossa and Sharp without Kane double shifting is a different team than we put on the ice last night. Plus Brookbank needs to never play again. Corey Perry is their best player.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 08:17 AM) Urlacher was the man, probably a HOF, and I definitely will always remember his time with the Bears. But if he is gonna play the victim card here and drag the media along with him to make the Bears look bad, then I'll worry about the appreciation later. Get over yourself Brian, you aren't the player you used to be, accept it. Good point. I wish he wouldn't drag this out in the media and play the "poor me" card.
  8. Remember his 25 tackle game vs Arizona in 2006? Ridiculous.

  10. If you go to your Yahoo bracket, in the top right they have options for automatic picking by random, RPI, etc. One of them is "party schools." Plug that in, I agree with the results.
  11. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 10:53 PM) I do not like letting Urlacher go. I dont like the fact that we have one LB left with more than a few minutes experience playing in the NFL. I dont like the implication that we are now going to spend, without a doubt, one of our first two picks on a LB when what we really need to do is draft two OL. Urlacher may have been way under par athletically and entirely incapable of being the player he used to be, but he at least knew where to be and was never out of position because he made a mental error. The new guy will undoubtedly be a rookie, f***ing up left and right, biting on fakes, not knowing where to be, generally being confused. But not just that, he'd be a rookie playing a position we could've had covered for this season while Cutler still runs for his life because as it stands now there are 4 guys on our OL that barely deserve to be on NFL rosters. We don't even know if Urlacher can run at this point. Just because you know where you should be doesn't mean you can get there. See last season. So he was indeed out of position many times. Just because you don't know what the solution is doesn't mean you stick with a current problem.
  12. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 06:17 PM) Here is easily the best guide for games, times and channels all in a quick easy format. http://www.mattsarzsports.com/basketball201213/NCAA Awesome

  14. Was I the only one to read it too quickly and see "Sox will keep Floyd out until at least July" and think he was injured? Phew.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 05:17 PM) Hmm joint and several liability on the lease? You look at it to confirm they have the right to do it? Basically the clause should say that you are jointly and severally liable for the rent, yadda yadda. Also see if there is any outs. Good point, my question - is the total rent $700? Or were they splitting it evenly for $950 and they settled on $700? That would seem odd, even though it does benefit him.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 04:25 PM) So, because my roommate had his contract with the rental office voided due to medical reasons, my rent is going to go from $475 a month to $700. f*** me. I'd make sure to read your lease front to back before agreeing to that.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 03:34 PM) Not when he starts to make contact. It's hard to see in slow-mo, but if you freeze it, it's in the cylinder.
  18. This region is giving me the most trouble to sort through. I think it's the toughest to pick without a doubt.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 01:08 PM) I didn't see it was in the cylinder. It was close, but out when Noah starts to get his hand/finger on it. Once he makes a touch, he can carry the ball into the cylinder, which is what happened. The refs blew it. When his hand hits the ball, some of the ball is definitely over the rim and over the opening itself.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 11:53 AM) The problem is that rule is a bunch of crap. Blake Griffin and Lebron and a million other guys get a ton of alley oops right near the rim and they never get called for it. Had Noah grabbed that ball and dunked it, they would have won the game. The other problem is that they initially called it a basket, meaning they shouldn't have reviewed it. It should have been a non-reviewable call, bucket good, Bulls win. Really though the Bulls have themselves to blame and they were lucky to get to OT. Their defense last night (and for several weeks now) has been turrible. Isn't it a judgement call on whether or not it's a "shot" and if it has a chance to go in? And they can't review it if it's good, but they can review it if they wave it off? Weird.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 10:54 AM) They still managed to blow that call, and not review another call before it... getting that wrong as well. So they are still blowing calls, meaning that didn't actually help at all. They blew not reviewing/making the original call on Denver's basket. But from the way I understand the rule, and looking at when Noah touched it - the ball was easily in the cylinder - it was the right call. Either way I'd still rather have reviews than whatever happens, happens. Imagine the NFL right now without reviews. Yikes.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 06:37 AM) There were three different games going on last night during the stretch. I was going between the Hawks/Bulls/Heat. There were literally stretches where it was play for a few seconds, then a stoppage of a few minutes. Commercials and endless replays is a terrible way to promote your product. The NHL gets it right with one timeout and very limited reviews. The game flow is so much better. It is a crime when you have two marque games, both with multiple overlapping stretches with no action going on in crunch time. Getting calls incorrect because you didn't want to review it is a worse way to promote your product. Again, few minutes at that point. Oh well. Sometimes game circumstances call for reviews. If you want to limit basketball timeouts fine, but that's different than making what I would think are mandatory reviews. But I doubt anyone was tuning out of those games just because of stoppages, because it's only adding on minutes to an already 2-3 hour commitment.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 18, 2013 -> 09:49 PM) Bulls game? In review. Heat game? In review. Besides the f***ing timeouts every single possession, and the damned reviews, which just f***ed the Bulls out of a win, the NBA is killing its own product. Give me some damned basketball, instead of dead time and replays. I didn't see any of the reviews in question. Maybe they were bogus or unecessary. But wouldn't you rather have correct calls and some reviews, than incorrect calls quickly? I'm not sure many people turn off/don't watch basketball/football games due to reviews. You're already investing 2-3 hours, at that time a few minutes doesn't do anything.
