  1. If you like turnover after turnover after turnover and guys shoving each other after every play, Georgia-Florida is the game for you.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 27, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) I also loved that they were running the ball on Indiana easily all day but they consistently dropped back to throw on 2nd and shorts and either threw incompletions or lost yards and then when they get the ball back down 7 in the 4th quarter they drop back to throw three straight times? It takes work to do a worse job coaching on gameday than Zook but this staff manages to do it. Especially since no one could pass block. Snap it, have a guy immediately on you, run around, either chuck it or get caught for one of the 7 sacks. Repeat. Every pass play was a fire drill. I'd love to say we've reached rock bottom, but I don't know if that's the case. We just lost to Indiana. At home. On homecoming. After a bye week. To a team that has won 6 road games in 17 years and hasn't won since Nov 2010 in the BT. But let's keep hitting guys out of bounds and fumbling. Good times.
  3. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 27, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) That was gruesome looking, poor kid. At some point, mentally, this has to really make you question if you want to keep taking the risks. It's his lottery ticket, so I don't think he really has to question it.
  4. QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 27, 2012 -> 10:36 AM) I had a dream the other night that Illinois won pretty easily. I actually think Indiana is the slightly better team, but that might be my bias. Doesn't really matter, since both teams are terrible. WTF did you smoke before bed?
  5. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 26, 2012 -> 06:16 PM) Actually it would not surprise me if our merch sells just as well...any way to find out? Per capita, maybe...overall? Not a chance.
  6. His failure is still greater than your biggest success.
  7. Open the park early on Saturday for full Sox BP, make it an event. Encourage guys to sign autographs, toss more balls into the stands, etc. Since it's rare, you could get people to come out. There's zero reason to open the park at 4pm on a Tuesday. You'll have 12 people there.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 24, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) It needs to be at least three hours before the game. Have a team museum, autograph signings by former players, contests, inside and outside activities. Get people in the park and spending money early. Would really only be worth it for Saturday games though.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 24, 2012 -> 01:09 PM) Probably a good chance. She's about 60 pounds and has a chicago flag collar on. When Marianos opens in 16 days ill be over there. I thought it was 6 days?
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 24, 2012 -> 12:29 PM) I find myself pounding beers every buckeye game, dont even mean to. All of a sudden I've exhausted my 12 pack and I'm walking my dog down to dominicks to pick up another. Ah, so you're the guy with the dog chained up outside the door. Always wondered who that was.
  11. QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) This will be so painful to watch. If I had to put money down, I'd bet on Indiana. ****** I saw this, thought you'd find it interesting: Indiana fun fact: Since the beginning of the 1995 season, Indiana has won six Big Ten road games. Six. In 17+ seasons. Six.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 24, 2012 -> 07:33 AM) 16 oz of cherries in a 12 oz bottle? QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 24, 2012 -> 08:24 AM) That one might be in one of the bigger bottles New Glarus does. Yup, believe it's 24.
  13. The New Glarus cherry beer (new belgium red) is absolutely delicious. It's not manly beer, but who cares, great as a change of pace. Over a pound of cherries in every bottle.
  14. A different kind of fantasy league http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highschool-p...cGFnZQ--;_ylv=3
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:39 AM) A camera catching people in the act is good evidence, though. I'd personally just change the doorknob, thus have a new key, and then send the landlord a bill to cover the $10 or so it cost. No, I agree with that, I'd just want cops to bust them on the spot. Wouldn't need too much evidence after that. Not sure what he'd have to pay to get all that set up anyway. Changing the lock is fine, but I'd be more concerned someone's able to get in and out of my place and want to know the who and why.
  16. QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 09:52 AM) Oh hey, Indiana might actually win a Big Ten football game this weekend! Oh hey, Illinois might actually win a Big Ten football game this weekend!
  17. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 09:09 AM) The offense is below average at best at Florida. Course, you give any team 21 points in the first half, they should be able to win. 3 weeks in a row that Florida hasn't even thrown for 100 yards, and still won. It's just very odd. All the talk going into the year was how they don't have a quarterback, might have to split time, etc...then they are somehow #2 towards the end of October. Never would have thought that could happen.
  18. QUOTE (SexiAlexei @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 12:24 AM) It's not "ghosties"... Some more examples are closet lights on that I'd never turn on, my TV on Spanish channels (I thought maybe I hit the remote on accident before leaving, but it's happened multiple times). My landlord is lazy as s***, I had to go to his house to get my keys, I had to mail him my lease because he couldn't meet me, I am slightly worried that he may have given a copy of my keys to the painters or repairmen before I moved in and they never gave them back. I'd like to record my front door but not make it obvious. I'm assuming you don't have a roommate that's just messing with you? Because sounds like someone's living there while you're gone. I'd be trying to hide out to watch them go in, and be calling the cops immediately.
  19. Would be weird to be a Giants fan right now. "Man, as long as we don't blow a 7 run lead, we're in the World Series." Would be tough to watch. Just a giant waiting game.
  20. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 22, 2012 -> 07:23 AM) Whether or not he was forced out of bounds is a judgment call and is not reviewable. If they had ruled that he was forced out but had not re-established his feet inbounds then that would have been reviewable. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Tampa-B...ght-call-102112
  21. Pretty good article, did some good research and comparisons. I realize TM has to make money, but the fees are indeed outrageous. Not only is there a processing fee, but also a convenience fee. It's like the Seinfeld episode with a finder's fee, key fee, etc. Seems a bit much for it to cost like $9 to order tickets online. And if you want to print them yourself? We'll charge you more for that too. As a % of the ticket you're already paying for, it can be ridiculously high.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) But the idea that injured and fatigued players will all of the sudden start playing good baseball again, makes sense? The odds of that aren't really very good either. It's the postseason, it doesn't take much. Everyone's got injured and fatigued players at this point in the year.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2012 -> 09:07 AM) I can fantasize about winning the lottery too, but that doesn't change the reality of the odds. That makes no sense, but thanks for the effort.
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) Looks like I'm in the best drinking shape out of all of you! I can still do the week long binger, work a 40 hr week and be fine. Now I hardly ever do that anymore(did the 4th of July week) but I'm still more than capable. That's not something to brag about, is it? Ha That's because you never really stopped after college...
