QUOTE (Texsox @ May 1, 2008 -> 11:17 PM) No matter what they do to him, it will not help the victims, at all. And there is no punishment that is a deterrent to someone else with this sort of mental defect. I am also thinking the article is overlooking something. Yes he can only get 15 years for the rape, but there is also the seven individual cases of kidnapping, and a potential murder conviction for the infant. He is not getting out. Im assuming they can also hit him with multiple charges for some of the offenses. There is no way this guy should ever get out of jail, he might need to be committed.

At work we were talking about realistic possible punishments and the only thing we can see happening would be life without parole in solitary confinement with absolutely no human contact for the rest of his life. Its unfortunate he is on the older side so he might not be alive long enough to suffer for how long his daughter did. i cant even image the trauma to the 4 that were in the basement, and how the kids that have never even seen natural light can ever adjust to life outside.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:12 PM) So, here is the weird thing. For me, I was happy with the Philly speech - I think this is a more purely political move, and it bothers me. On the other hand, its probably what will get him more votes, so he's doing it. You may be right but I will say that I personally respect him more for finally doing this. My initial problem was with Wright and I think he finally did the right thing. Wright is a hate monger and has an agenda and he didnt even care if he hurt the man who defended him even after he almost hurt his campaign.

I didnt participate last time. Is it supposed to be 50 players?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) I'm sorry to hear that. Supposedly Rockstar promises a patch by the weekend. Having played it for a few hours since I got home, I can tell you you will be pleasantly surprised by its greatness. QFT. Its pretty insane. I highly recommend spawning the helicopter. The graphics are unreal.

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) I was drinking absinthe a few weeks ago. For as high as the alcohol is, it is actually a very smooth drink. I like the stuff, but it will never be a regular drink. It's also still expensive as hell right now. I think I paid about $40 for the bottle I have. Word of warning though, if you dislike black licorice or anise, stay well clear of absinthe. Ya, I posted in another thread I had it last week and it does taste exactly like anisette. For how much I hate that though, it wasnt that bad.

Anybody playing it. I recommend taking that girl on a date to the bar, youre in there for a minute and then you have to walk out drunk and drive her home. You can barely stand up, its very nostalgic.

I already paid for my copy but I cant make it in there tomorrow till afterwork and I have a bad feeling that if someone goes in there to get a copy when they sell out before I get there that they will give them mine.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 11:42 PM) Just to clear a few things up... - It was most definitely Orange Gatorade. - I was indeed drinking Busch Light that night. - The point for the Gatorade mention is that I do not go to bed drunk unless I have a Gatorade with me. Gotta love those electrolytes. Prevents cotton mouth and hangovers. - Lastly, I typed it and still have no clue what "T^jod id erweaj." means. I've had 1 experience with Absinthe and I was entirely disappointed. Ya the stuff they have in bars obviously isnt the stuff that is supposed to make you hallucinate and stuff.

Ive never seen anyone get taken out of there in cuffs. I wonder how far you would have to go to get arrested there. I saw a guy at Soldier Field get arrested for jumping off the tunnel and trying to tackle Trent Dilfer when he was on the Buccs and the guy missed. That was one of the coolest things ever.

I pre-ordered it as well and Im not normally one to do stuff like that.

Im not being a complete hater and Im not saying shes nasty, but Paris Hilton on this list? That makes it lose all credibility. I see girls everyday walking down the street better looking than her.

Considering its an elective foreign language I see no harm in using it as a tool to help the students learn. However, if it was something like a school trying to make it be recited in both languages to appease bilingual students thats another story.

I also thought it was odd he was doing this to raise money for a truck stop.

Nobody? I thought this was crazy.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 05:59 PM) No, but I was very tempted. There are a number of films like that for me. Maybe another list is in order. . . Crossover. I saw it was the worst rated movie on IMDB so I rented it and it lived up to expectations. To give you an idea, Wayne Brady was the bad guy, seriously.

I would let people smash bottles on my head and be able to stay on my feet.

Duffys. I dont know who knows it. They gave me 2 shots of absinthe on my lunch break. Damn them

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 08:29 AM) Another reason why I block social networking sites at work. We blocked it when our marketing team decided to have myspace sites, of them getting drunk at the bars with coworkers. Nothing like telling everyone you work for a company, and showing the director of marketing doing body shots off his secretary. There are companies now that actually check to see if applicants have a MySpace or Facebook and try to read up on them. The second I heard that I realized it was time to get the hell off those sites even if it was mainly to communicate with people I had lost touch with.

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) There are a ton of CSI drama shows out there, but the "First 48" is the best on A&E.Real life detectives being followed for the first 48 hours after a homicide, very interesting stuff from seeing the crime scene from the start to the interrogations. I like The first 48 a lot. It also teaches people exactly how to handle the police if you want to get away with murder.
