  1. Was told that they weren't scouting the White Sox.
  2. I would actually have no problem sending down Beckham, I think we rushed him to begin with as a quick fix band-aid. This team is nothing more, at best, a .500 team.
  3. This team flat out stinks, it's plan and simple. Vizquel can't hit any more, Jones is done, Pierre couldn't pay his way on base, Teahen is just garbage, Beckman will probably have a sophomore slump, Kotasy is a waste of a roster spot, both Alex's are way too inconsistent, we over value TCQ after only having one decent year and Paulie is an aging bat. We don't have much to rely on here....
  4. I blame Kenny Williams. Teahen blows Kotsay blows Team can't produce runs, get on base, or hit. Reminds me of the 2009 team. It's unbearable to watch, I turned it off after the 10th inning because I knew we were going to lose.
  5. My god this team has brutal to watch this year so far...
  6. 2009 White Sox are back.....can't hit, can't get on base....
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) Teahen struggling and Konerko declining don't sound like good things for the offense, but if all of that went right, the Sox offense would be pretty goddamn good. The Sox don't suddenly need like 7 guys to step up to even have a competent offense. The big things they need are for Quentin to come back to something similar to his 2008 form while maintaining health and for average seasons out of quite a few players. Expecting Beckham to improve is not far fetched at all (and could even be likely), and expecting Alex Rios to put up something closer to .800 than .700 is actually probably a good bet as well. Still a lot of "if's" for my liking....
  8. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 06:09 PM) We're counting on big bounce back years from TCQ, Rios, and maybe even Jones for us to score enough runs this year so I understand their thinking- we cannot afford any let down years out of almost anyone to score enough runs this year. Although, maybe KW solves that problem at some point in June... Plus you putting your hopes on Beckham improving, Alexei finds his bat again, AJ hitting .300, Teahen struggles, Paulie declining, etc.
  9. Starting pitching is good, not thrilled about the question marks surrounding the lineup and bullpen.
  10. Sounds about right, we aren't a playoff team.
  11. And Boom goes the Dynamite....
  12. 2006. I have no expectations for 2010. This isn't a playoff team....Good starting pitching, average pen, average lineup doesn't make you a playoff team.
  13. I've got the DVD box set, I can watch it whenever. My comcast here in Jersey has both ESPN Classic and U, both in HD.
  14. Can we change the thread title because I am tired of this being bumped with zero White Sox News...thanks....
  15. QUOTE (Mattchoo @ Dec 15, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) Not to get people riled up, but haven't the sox been rumored to be interested in Gonzalez for more than a few years now? I think I saw a Juan Gonzalez rumor on here before....
  16. This has been the offseason of long rumored "to be traded/signed with the White Sox." First it was Omar Vizquel. Then Andruw Jones. Now it's Juan Pierre. Who's next of the yearly list?
  17. Living near Philly and having watched him pitch over the past 2 seasons...... You. Do. Not. Want. Lidge. Too many injuries, has major confindence/mental issues.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 13, 2009 -> 10:35 AM) Now Cowley is saying the Sox are thinking Juan Pierre. If he throws out all the names and one comes to the Sox he will be the guy that knew all along. I'm shocked Cowley has just read off the entire FA list. Wait till late January when he says the name Sheffield.....
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 13, 2009 -> 11:51 AM) he at least argued the merits of the situation where you provided nothing. and still provide nothing. This topic is dead to you, stop commenting and ruining the thread, your opinion is known. I believe my comment was Getz > Gardner.
