  1. Why do we need Dewon Day when we already have a right hander that gives up runs in bunches named Mike McDougal
  2. I would rather see Bourgeois make the roster than Anderson. Bourgeois seems to have more offensive ability and speed which this team sorely lacks.
  3. QUOTE(wsgdf_2 @ Mar 1, 2008 -> 04:06 PM) Boone will only be charger with 2 ER. Getz made an error to start the inning, Logan walked a guy, and then a bloop hit turned into a runner thrown out at home but guys on 2nd and 3rd. Wasserman came in, wild pitch for a run, a basehit for a run, and then a 2 run homer. Konerko just drove in 2 (off Qualls I think), it's 6-6. MLB has it list as 4 ER right now. I did not see it myself.
  4. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 1, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) So... anyone have an update? Boone lost his place in the STHOF by giving up 4 runs.
  5. QUOTE(Kenny Hates Prospects @ Mar 1, 2008 -> 12:00 PM) Seems more like they're in win-never mode. I mean I could see them going after a guy like Miguel Cabrera when he was available, or trying to sign ARod when he was a FA, or even trying to snag Troy Glaus, Scott Rolen, or Eric Chavez for next to nothing, but Brandon Inge? WTF are they thinking? Their obsession with mediocre/slightly above average veterans on bad contracts is mind boggling. Hopefully we can enter the picture and offer up Contreras, MacDougal, and Crede for Kemp, Kershaw, Loney, Broxton, and Billingsley. That would be a great deal for the Dodgers based on the way they're going, but then again they probably wouldn't take Crede unless we stupidly extended him for another three years first. Hopefully for Dodger fans' sake the discussions are only an attempt to unload Pierre or something. If KW pulled off that deal, he would be raping the Dodgers and leaving his man juice all over their back.
  6. In an ideal world, that ball travels all the way to San Francisco's game.
  7. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 1, 2008 -> 02:58 PM) Floyd scares me. You're not alone. I think he scares a lot of us here.
  8. Ramirez can hit. But he had a Carlos Lee style braincramp at 2B. Anybdoy else think BA could hit .300 through the rest of camp and still not make the team?
  9. Every day Uribe is not in the line up makes me feel a little more optimistic that he will not be our opening day 2B. Personally, I think Uribe would look great in a Cincinnati Reds uniform.
  10. I would love nothing more than to see Owens have an awesome spring and take the starting CF job. My only problem with the situation would be what to do with Q once healthy.
  11. QUOTE(joesaiditstrue @ Feb 29, 2008 -> 05:10 PM) 7-4 sox, dunno how we got the runs but Superdelegates?
  12. QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 29, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) damn, thats pretty harsh if you ask me....the sox cut bait on those guys pretty quickly i thought....i mean who knew what their expiration date was? they were dynamite in 05...had a bad 06 and the sox got rid of em...id say they really didnt hold on to em too long...i mean if you want to blame them for not foreseeing the fact that their "expiration date" had past sometime during the offseason before 06...then sure, but all the signs said those guys would be at least dependable in 06...so im not gonna blame the white sox for not foreseeing it...no GM could have predicted that, and if they could have, theyd have many, many WS rings I'm not saying they should have necessarily seen it before the season as the fact that they kept throwing those guys out to get beat up when it was apparent that they had nothing left to offer. Billy Koch is another example.
  13. QUOTE(beck72 @ Feb 29, 2008 -> 04:21 PM) The sox should trade MacDougal sooner rather than later, before teams really get a chance to look at him. I'd rather see Wasserman take over the 6th, 7th, Roogy than have Mac around to load the bases up. As stange as it may seem, I bet the sox could get a prospect for him. The White Sox have a long tradition of hanging onto relievers past their expiration date. In recent memory, Cliff Politte and Neal Cotts ...
  14. QUOTE(The Beast @ Feb 29, 2008 -> 03:26 PM) So, I assume the thin air in Arizona isn't an excuse for MacDougal? What seems to be his issue, lack of movement, location or lack of speed on his pitches? He is no longer good at pitching a baseball.
  15. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Feb 28, 2008 -> 04:43 PM) Bourgeois has been playing centerfield. So i'm guessing that helps his chances, but I still think he's a long shot. I'd say Getz is AAA. I really do not think either has a chance of making the roster this year barring injuries. In truth, I suspect KW will have traded one or both within the next year. That disappoints me because I like Bourgeious.
  16. Getz and Bourgeois have had a nice showing so far. What are the odds either ever wears a White Sox uniform at the Cell?
  17. Gentlemen, you disappoint me. Beauty is always just the flip of a light switch away. Even for those skanks.
  18. Just like a lot of White Sox teams earlier in this decade, the Tigers look good on paper. Fearless prediction: Tigers win 90 games.
  19. In Chicago, he ate deep dish pizza, in CA he dined at In and Outs, where will Bartolo run up a tab in Boston?
  20. Apparently Ohka was not looking for a long term deal.
  21. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 19, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) MSNBC does the aforementionned call of Wisconsin based solely on exit polls. CNN hasn't pulled the trigger yet. CNN just did too.
  22. I would love to be able to vacation in Cuba somebody. And if you have never had a Cuban cigar ... you have never had a read cigar.
  23. As the tabloids seem to suggest, she is a major whore (sorry if that word is not Kosher by language filter standards). Yet something about red heads (not that she is one in these pics) makes me block out the whore label in my mind and desire to do naughty things with her.
  24. Channeling his best Hawk voice ... I love Pablo. On a side note, It would be nice if Mike McD remembered how to pitch.
