QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 02:07 PM) Halloween A work print of this came out this past weekend. It has a watermark at the top that says 'property of dimension films', but is supposedly good quality. Not my kind of movie, but some of you on here seem to be diehard fans, so I though you might be interested. From what I read the workprint has some differences from the theater release. Most notably the ending has been completely changed. I'm looking forward to it - mostly cause the Saw IV trailer is previewing before it. Saw IV release print. http://www.officialsaw.com/images/official...sive_saw4_l.jpg Lemme know if anyone wants me to make a saw thread and keep the Saw stuff outta here.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=UXFu6q8vp0Q Saw IV snippit released from Lionsgate. They don't usually release the best traps in these things so I'm excited for October to hurry and get here to see the rest of the mess.

QUOTE(striker62704 @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 12:44 PM) I have to say Ozzie. He's lost the players, his managerial decisions blow up in his face and the combination of his mouth and his losing ways have just made me sick.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 12:43 PM) It was a really messed up scene. The guy just goes from running /standing, to on his knees, to on the ground. Then you see another player trying to open the guys mouth so that they can pull his tongue out. The announcer is yelling "Hes swallowed his tongue" and you can see that his teammate is really struggling to try and get his mouth open. The medics run on the field while play is going on the other side of the field, a few seconds later, the guy is standing up walking and gets removed from the game. He walks off the field on his own power, and everything seemed fine. But I guess now it appears the guy suffered subsequent heart failures. Ive never seen anything like it in any sporting event. No contact, the guy just went straight down. Just 22 years old and his wife is 6 weeks from her due date of their first child. So very sad.

QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) Guess i shouldnt be making assumptions then IIRC there is a link in the Vick thread about it. I think he was busted back in '02 for animal neglect.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:54 AM) That's good to hear - I really hope it wasn't a suicide attempt. There's too much of that in the world already. Now the TV show Extra (is it like Entertainment Tonight?) says it has confirmation that he did in fact cause harm to himself. Regardless, hope he gets the help he apparently needs.

QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 10:37 AM) http://www.mp3.com/news/stories/10089.html Police also reportedly find a half pound of cocaine or methamphetamine and a cache of assault weapons along with a dozen pit bulls, inlcuding charred remnants of another... Oh, and like Vick, the original claim is he has not been there for 2 months and has had a "friend" watching the house I wonder how much attention this is going to get. The difference from Vick is that he really was not there, but was off filming a movie. Apparently his neighbors backed up his story.

I wonder how much attention this is going to get. Hopefully a lot, though I doubt for dog fighting since so far there doesn't seem to be any evidence of it. The idiot was already investigated once for animal abuse. You'd think he'd get rid of the dogs, take care of them himself, or find someone responsible to take care of them.

QUOTE(mreye @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:51 AM) You had to turn down the blaring Skid Row first, right? It seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it? I tell ya... it was a real culture shock to see that Rock of Love show with Brett Michaels.

http://www.rte.ie/arts/2007/0828/southpark.html South Park creators agree $75m deal 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have agreed a $75m deal for a three-season extension of the hit series and a new digital offshoot. Under the deal, Parker and Stone will set up with US network Comedy Central South Park Digital Studios, which will see the animated show cross over into the digital world, with new projects also planned. The Hollywood Reporter says the duo will get a 50-50 ad split on digital platforms as part of the new agreement with Comedy Central. AdvertisementCommenting, Stone said: "Three more years of 'South Park' will give us the opportunity to offend that many more people. And since Trey and I are in charge of the digital side of 'South Park', we can offend people on their cell phones, game consoles, and computers too. It's all very exciting for us." Parker and Stone's current deal was set to expire at the end of 2008 but 'South Park' will now run until 2011. I wonder if Hannah- Barbara, or the like, were ever bitter...

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:43 AM) Thanks to one of the worst laws passed regarding the digital age...it sure appears that it could be. PCWorld link My first reaction is to say "folks should be able to choose whatever service they want" but I admit I don't know anything more about phones and PDA's above my personal use of them. They sure have come a long way though... my first phone was a Motorola bag phone... which I used from my Pontiac Formula 350. Yea baby!!

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) Right now, the iPhone can only be used on AT&T's network...which does 2 things. One, you have to deal with AT&T's notably crappy service. And two...AT&T's service is not useful internationally. There is at least one other service in this country compatible with the iPhone's hardware...if you can unlock it...and there are international carriers that are also. So if you want to be able to use the phone overseas, or use another network other than AT&T's, his procedure seems to be what you need to do. Therefore, there is at least a non trivial amount of money in it for a company that does nothing other than unlock and sell iPhones to people. Ahhh... I see. So is unlocking - hacking - it a criminal offense? Sidenote, my AT&T Treo worked just fine from Costa Rico in May.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:34 AM) Well, if THAT's the case, I know I'm older than the both of ya, so FETCH ME MY SLIPPERS AND SOME LEMONADE, ya whippersnappers!!!! Hu...? Hu....?? I must need a new battery for this ear thingy. BOT, CNN and the like have backed off the suicide angle.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:23 AM) Oh sure, you and Steff sit around with refreshments while you put me to work! How about providing some live music at the duel instead, you darn lazy-bones??? Just us old folks doing what old folks do..

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 10:06 PM) KW inherited a team coming off a division title in 2000, and has guided us to 1 playoff appearance in 7 years, that's NOT a very good GM. And how are all the moves we made to fix the bullpen working out? How about our farm system, where is our Hunter Pence? Comparing KW to Purpura is like comparing apples and oranges, IMO. Kenny is agressive when put on the spot, and Purpura seemed to pee himself when asked a question about the team future. Additionally, Kenny has stepped up and taken responsibility for most of his experiment gone wrong. Purpura never said much at all.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:19 AM) Goldie and Kurt own property around here. I've seen her a few times and someone had to point her out to me. Talk about a ship that sailed a loooooong time ago. I think KR has office space in that building next to the "white castle" building also.

Yahoo.com SAN FRANCISCO - The teenage hacker who managed to unlock the iPhone so that it can be used with cellular networks other than AT&T will be trading his reworked gadget for a new car. George Hotz, of Glen Rock, N.J., said he had reached the deal with CertiCell, a Louisville, Ky.-based mobile phone repair company. Hotz posted on his blog that he traded his modified iPhone for "a sweet Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones." "This has been a great end to a great summer," Hotz wrote. The 17-year-old Hotz said he will be sending the three new iPhones to the three online collaborators who helped him divorce Apple Inc's popular product from AT&T's network. The job took 500 hours, or about 8 hours a day since the iPhone's June 29 launch. Hotz made the deal with Terry Daidone, co-founder of CertiCell, who also promised the teen a paid consulting job. "We do not have any plans on the table right now to commercialize Mr. Hotz' discovery," Daidone said in a statement. Why such a big deal to unlock it?

QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 11:08 PM) I'm surprised Mariotti didn't jump on the AJ/Cooper incident as another example of Ozzie's team gone out of control and asking for Oz's head. Guess he was too busy writing about Rex. Maybe he's waiting for a AJ/Cooper incident to write about...

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 05:54 PM) Yeah, but we're also not supposed to be professional athletes/executives. I thought my post you responded to was meant to say that the last thing we want to see happen is players/coaches on the team starting to blame others. This was a total organizational failure this year. No, my response was aimed at you alluding to Walker habitually not preparing the team even after AJ seemed to take responisbility for not listening.

Rock, haven't you learned that you can not have a differing opinion around here, especially in a thread about a chick, without being hit with a homosexual inuendo. :rolleyes God bless ya.. you like boobs, an ass, and not being able to count your date's ribs from 30 feet away.
