QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 11:12 AM) The point is, Buehrle's credential are every bit as good, if not better, than any of the pitchers previously mentioned. How is Buehrle better than Clemens, Santana, or any of the other aces in the league?

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) That's what I thought...seems like I get POUNDED every time I make an opinion. Because your opinions are wrong!

QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) And Timo Perez has a ring, is he better than Barry Bonds? Well?

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) The more I think about it, the less I think the Brewers are a sleeper team. I've been hearing a lot about the Brewers being a sleeper team on radio shows which means to me, they are getting noticed and are expected to be very competitive this year. I agree with you, but it depends on what type of sleeper they have them as. I have them as a sleeper to win the division, but saying they are a sleeper to win the wild card isn't really accurate, since they are probably one of the favorites.

QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) Peavy...no rings Zambrano...no rings Carpenter...no rings Zito...no rings Santana...no rings Prior...no rings Halliday...no rings Harden...no rings Total...NO RINGS! Look at the team around them. Its not like these guys start every game, pitch every relief inning, or hit every AB and score every run.. And Timo Perez has a ring, is he better than Barry Bonds?

QUOTE(vandy125 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Last year it seemed like everyone was asking "where is the respect?" It is nice to see us actually getting it. Why complain or dis it when it is happening now? Just enjoy it. Others are respecting the team. I don't take much pride in knowing that a board mostly full of morons thinks that the Sox are a good team, but hey, thats just me.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 05:53 PM) Honorable Mention-Texas (still need to dump Soriono to get that elusive arm, we should offer Count and Borchard LOl) That would be a horrible deal for us. Horrible. Hell, even worse than horrible, if thats possible. And yea, they don't even have Soriano anymore. More along the lines of this thread: AL Sleeper: Minnesota Twins. Yea, I'll hear some s*** about this from some of you guys, but I think that with their pitching staff, they are a definite sleeper. They need some offense, but if their pitching staff can carry that club like I expect they can, I think they could take the WC. AL Bust: Toronto Bluejays. They made a lot of moves this offseason, but for some reason, they just don't sit right with me. I don't see them doing much, and I definitely don't see them passing either the Yankees or Red Sox in the AL East. NL Sleeper: Milwaukee Brewers. They have so much young talent that its hard not to call them a sleeper. After the improvement they showed last year, I think they are prime to win the WC, or possibly even the NL Central, depending on how things work out in St. Louis. NL Bust: New York Mets. Is this actually considered a bust anymore? They seem to do the same thing all the time, and it doesn't really work out. I don't think this year will be any different, and they'll probably drift around 85 wins. I just don't see them passing the Atlanta Braves in the NL East.

The fans on the ESPN message boards are morons for the most part. I wouldn't take that too seriously.

No, I don't trade for Frank, mostly because if Kong and Thome get hurt, Frank's probably already hurt himself.

Yea, and I can't help but laugh at him, even if its wrong.

This is a real shame. He was great in most the movies I saw him in, especially Reservoir Dogs.

Yea, I'm going through this, although I've been done doing work since September when I got accepted to college. School is a joke now, just a waste of my time. I want out

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 06:47 AM) That we tend to be rabidly fanatical about the man? Guilty. He was a genius, its hard *not* to be a fanatic about him.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 24, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) Man, Artest is the biggest dick in sports. The Pacers have stood beside him in absolutely every way. He's f***ed the franchise so badly in absolutely every way. Sounds familiar to TO.. and I'd rather have Artest on my team than TO.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 23, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) Some brilliant Beefhart on that baby. And Sugarcane Harris can play a badass blues violin too. Trivia: do you know who the girl on the cover peering out of the crypt is? Christine Frka (didn't know this off the top of my head though, google helped me) She was a baby sitter for Zappa's kids. http://www.arf.ru/Notes/Hrats/intro1.html
