QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 07:44 PM) Why didn't the Steelers just run the clock down and kick a FG? Now they have to play defense... It's equally questionable why the Pack didn't let them score when the Pack still had a TO.

QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 10:47 AM) I have the chef of a local restaurant coming over to teach tamale making to my wife and I. It should be fun. That's a super cool idea. I'm going to keep that in mind for the future. I got a home security system for my wife. Sounds lame but she's wanted one forever. She'll have to open it early so we can actually use it while we are gone for Christmas.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) Take it out of his security deposit? I am really trying to avoid paying money out of my pocket because of his mistake. That just doesn't seem right. What seems right to me is calling the salvation army. Hmm. There are laws in most states about how security deposits can be used. Of course, what's he going to do about it. I'd get his approval to use his security deposit to store his stuff in a locker. Get that in writing along with a statement that after the security runs out, he is liable for payments. Then let the glitch be fixed when he can't pay.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) Craigslist. I didn't do a background check but from now on that is a priority. Do you think his public defender will talk to me? I'm a cheapskate and really would not like to hire a lawyer for this. He probably doesn't get mail at my place because this guy is a career criminal. Forgery x1 DWI x2 Impersonating a police officer x2 Aggravated DWI x1 I thought it was shady that he paid me with money orders. I typically have people to pay me via Venmo. The PD better talk to you or put you in touch with someone that can help. You don't have a real lease with this guy. The agreement might default to month to month. Talk also to your landlord and see what he thinks as long as you won't get in trouble.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 11:46 AM) who's seeing your fb feed that would be breaking into your house but wouldn't know you were out of town or your typical work hours? A lot of people friend anyone who asks. There are also the "friends" you really don't know anymore because you haven't talked to them in 10 years. Then there are those people you think you know, but really, they are burglars.

QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) This is essentially what we wanted. You had to play Cutler in hopes that he demonstrates whether or not he is better than McCown. Looks like he is showing us what we needed to see. Agreed. Regardless of outcome, given his contract, he has to play.

That was a Cutler proof series.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 04:45 PM) He doesn't have a public defender assigned yet. Why do they make it so difficult to see people? Our tax dollars at work. Because it takes man power to ensure safe movement of prisoners and adequate oversight of visitors. In any event, find out when the next court date is set (clerk's office), then call the PD a week before. I'm guessing they put all new cases through review and are then assigned.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 05:36 PM) Now we're getting somewhere. Now, how to get a hold of his public defender? call the public defender's office and tell them what's going on and that you'd like to speak with someone in the office that can get your question to the guy. It doesn't have to be an attorney (but that would be nice). Be polite and understand that the attorneys are busy and might only see/talk to this guy once every few weeks. http://www.cookcountygov.com/portal/server...w_office_of/260

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 05:28 PM) I could be wrong, but I think you have to give him reasonable time, like 30 days, to get his stuff. I think if you just gave it away now, or tossed it before that, you might be on the hook for the value. Yeah, ultimately there are rules for abandonment. But it's going to be a process to make sure he can prove that dude relinquished ownership.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 05:07 PM) How do I get that information? I'd start here: http://www.cookcountyclerkofcourt.org/?sec...amp;DDPage=4400 See if they will tell you whether anyone has filed an appearance for his case.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 05:03 PM) This sucks. Who is his lawyer? Even if it's a public defender, call them. I'd imagine you aren't the first person to have this problem.

Out shoot a team 50-18 and lose, huh?

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 05:11 PM) Mods do you work if this thread is redundant. So I guess I thought I was being slick when a tragedy occurred with my credit score. I had 3 credit cards before of varying limits. I decided to tell capital one to kick the can down the road because they were charging me annual fees for their cards. I in tune raised the limit of my freebie credit card to the combined of the 3 plus or minus 1K or so. Apparently, that's a colossal no no. My score took a huge hit as a result. I'm shocked and can't believe this is happening. I tried to re-fi my student loans recently and was denied do this. Why in the world is the credit system so f***ed up like this? Which part was the mistake? Closing a line of credit will always hurt your score. I didn't think a higher limit would hurt. My suspicion is though your score will bounce back quick if you don't over spend. I've had this happen though. I corrected an error on my report and my score dropped 40 points and almost caused a problem for my mortgage. It bounced back in a month. It was just a weird thing.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 16, 2013 -> 10:03 PM) I've never shaved with a razor before, not even once. I have only used electric shavers. I tried a razor for the first time a couple years ago after over a decade of electric. I'll never go back.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 13, 2013 -> 08:36 AM) boooo...... I love free preview weekends. My DVR gets a workout Need to record a few things for my wife and I to watch. (yea, you read that right. ) I think we all remember the story about your wife. Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure their original series have more sex than those movies.

The usual rule is that hops pair with fats. So an IPA goes well with burgers, and red meat. White meat will pair with less hoppy beer. Duvel is tough match because it is delicate. I'd prefer it with fruit or some blue cheese. I think the best way the handle the pairing is to go with opposing flavors. I know people pretend to like imperial stouts with dessert, for example, but I'll take a citrusy IPA. I don't pair stouts often but I think they would work well with BBQ. However if you are having a thanksgiving type meal with a ton of different foods, I'll take a saison. Specifically Saison DuPont. Funk goes with funk though. Funky cheese and sour beer, a wonderful combination.

This is what happens when you blitz every down. That front four have to turn this around.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 08:07 PM) Got my 50 ft ethernet cable in, hooked it all up, tried every single one of those 7 or 8 programs I downloaded...... none of them allow either my PS3 or my Chromecast to connect. f***. Connectify is the only one that at least gives me a WiFi connection, but my phone and thus my Chromecast won't connect to it. And my PS3 doesn't even see that WiFi network as an option. So then instead I try to connect my Chromecast via my computer that is hardwired. Nope, still doesn't work. What. The. f***. So have you called the school's IT to figure out why it's not working?

You have the right not to join. However, you will almost certainly be required to pay shop fees to the union because they are negotiating on your behalf. Also, I am not licensed in IL. This is not legal advice.

It's like anything else, you get what you pay for. Having a will drafted won't be that expensive and is probably worth it to get it done right and with the terms you want. Language in wills is very important and I can't vouch for the accuracy of legal zoom. Trusts are the same way. And the interaction between a trust and a will has to be considered as well. Again, it's not that you can't do it youself, but you run the risk of not getting what you want. I have life insurance through my work and you can get that in your own. By DOA are you referring to a living will?

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 08:18 PM) No, not ridiculous at all. He got caught cheating once yet did it again. Time to go away for good. Well there are provisions for cheating. This is because he was coercing at least one witness.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 10:47 AM) That will buy them some, but, there are limits. Detroit is WAY under right now. And if you lay off a lot, and raise taxes a lot, then you lose some of that revenue when people leave in even higher numbers, and are left with an even lower-paying and non-paying tax base. They may be beyond where that spiral can be stopped. Then they sell off land in huge chunks and pull the city limits in. Shrink the area that needs services. I'm guessing that will be difficult since other suburbs won't be looking to expand and its the opposite of every other city's position. But there are no easy options.
