  1. QUOTE(Linnwood @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) Doug Eddings? :headshake The man himself.
  2. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) I didn't know Eddings was the home plate umpire. The White Sox and their fans should never complain about him. 88 years of failure ended with his help last year. Yeah but that zone was still brutal. Not that it matters now.
  3. Arguing balls and strikes because Eddings had two very different zones for Garland and Zito.
  4. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 22, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Macha told Swisher to watch for the bunt. Swisher nodded his head. He had no chance. Was the in game presentation to Frank, Garland teeing the ball up for him? I knew Garland would be a good match-up for Frank but that was ridiculous. He had no chance against Thornton or Jenks. That was a great win, big clutch homer for Mack. One thing I noticed about Street is appears he uses maybe a centimeter of the rubber, if that. If Eddings could call a decent game, Thomas woulda been struck out.
  5. I can't wait to see if this is true.
  6. I don't think they would retire his number during the middle of an inning. That's something reserved for a nice pregame ceremony I would imagine.
  7. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 22, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) Is tonight officially sold out? I can't seem to find a ticket... Anybody wanna help me out? The Score announced it was sold out.
  8. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ May 21, 2006 -> 02:31 PM) Isn't that what we wore Friday and Saturday? ...I guess that's true
  9. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 21, 2006 -> 12:36 PM) of course we get the A's while the tiggers go to KC What's the difference, KC seems to be as tough on the Sox as anyone.
  10. It's gonna be crazy when they have a 2005 throwback jersey day. I might be dead before it happens but it just popped into my head.
  11. QUOTE(rventura23 @ May 21, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) I think the best part about this whole thing is that while Barrett is suspended the cubs will have to use a player whose batting Rich Hill's number (.053) to make their already horribly pathetic offense even worse. And the only guy that might have been hurt is a Cub. Does anyone know what Mabry's status is? I haven't heard anything yet.
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 21, 2006 -> 10:04 AM) What does it matter if Boone Logan or Augustin Montero get suspended? They are useless as relievers, might as well use them for something. It is my opinion that there is no reason to retaliate unless Zambrano throws a bit too far inside. The Sox have nothing to gain from any of this. They've already shown that they stand up for eachother, so I don't see the point in risking more players.
  13. I don't want to see a Sox reliever get a fine or suspension for purposely throwing at someone. The pen is thin enough. Not that Barret doesn't deserve it but I can't see how it would help the Sox.

    lol ozzie

    QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 21, 2006 -> 09:51 AM) sometimes I wonder if he says "s***" or "f***". Both could fit into any of his (Bleep)-fests Usually he says s***. It just kinda slips out of his mouth.
  15. G&T

    lol ozzie

    And that's why Ozzie called him a "triple A (bleep)."
  16. No wait, last I saw Mariotti=God... I will give him credit for not stealing his story from every other sports guy in town, unfortunately he's a dumbass.
  17. That's not really what he said. He said they could cry about their lossing or start a fight with someone to get a fire going, but it would be better just to win games. There's no doubt that he has been hot headed lately but I found it to be more of a strange coincidence than anything premeditated.
  18. David Schuster just said on the Score that Mabry had to be taken to the hospital as a precaution for injured ribs. Look for him to be out whether he's suspended or not.
  19. DJ is always better when he's doing a Fox broadcast, IMO. However, if I were a Cub fan I wouldn't be happy having a Sox announcer doing the broadcast. Oh well...
  20. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 20, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) Tribune will get hurt soon. With all the tickets they have at their scalping bureu, come August and September when the Cubs are out, they're going to have to sell them for below face Tribune Corp. is already losing money from lost subscriptions. That's why they have been putting out feelers to sell the Cubs.
  21. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 20, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) northsidebaseball.com It's absolutly hilarious over there. I'll give those fans credit for being funny. Yeah that's good stuff over there.
  22. Whether the Sox repeat or not, this has got to be the greatest year to be a Sox fan. Posts like that just make it all sweeter.
  23. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ May 20, 2006 -> 04:04 PM) Barrett admitted to Fox's Cory McPheron that it was a clean play by AJ and he saw AJ coming at him so he just lost it and hit him...10 games hopefully for the man who got mad at B Roberts for stealing a base So the Cubs would lose another of their top hitters, hilarious.
