QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 5, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) This loss is on Bobby. That being said, Ozzie does have to stop dicking around in the 9th, enough is enough. I blame Bobby as well. He had absolutely nothing tonight. I also agree though that if Ozzie is going to use Jenks, then give him the whole inning.

The Royals to the Sox are like the Devil Rays to the Yankees. Lots of losses to really bad teams.

QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 5, 2006 -> 02:18 AM) The best part is they have not seen the easiest part of their schedule yet, which occurs in June and July. As it is shaping up right now the end of May and through June will be the toughest stretch of games where they will face the A's, Cleveland, Detroit, Texas, Cincinnatti, St. Louis, Toronto, and Houston, not to mention the Cubs. By June some of these teams might fall off but that should be their roughest stretch of games. I hope the bullpen is locked in by the time the Cubs come in. July is pretty easy though, outside of NY and Boston.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) AJ probably didn't have a clue because he didn't catch Javy, Widger did. I go by what I read

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 06:48 AM) Doesnt Thome have numbers against Minnesota that are almost as insane as they were against the White Sox? I seem to remember that he was just as big as a Twin Killer as he was a Sox killer. I think you're right, but he hasn't faced the current pitchers, except Radke, a significant number of times. He's only 1/9 against Santana with 4 strikeouts. Here are his stats against the current Twins pitchers.

And in the mean time, Mythbusters confirmed that the best way to cool a 6 pack is to use ice and salt water. The freezing temperature is lowered by the salt, thus making the water a lot colder. Otherwise, you can use a fire extinguisher, which can cool beer in 3 minutes.

QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 10:16 AM) Javy was tipping his pitches? I didn't catch that one. Where did you see that? I'm always interested in that kind of thing. You might also add that if Guillen had brought in Cotts instead of Logan in the 8th inning of Game 3, the Sox would be 12-3. Guillen said Javy was tipping his pitches, but AJ didn't know anything about. As for bringing in Cotts instead of Logan, I'm going to disagree. At the time I thought it was a bad move to go with Logan, but after seeing some of Cotts' work so far, he could have given up that homer just as easy.

If there was ever a time to face Santana, it's now. He could shut the Sox down, but he hasn't done that so far this season so I'm hoping for the best...or the worst, however you want to look at it. Meanwhile, for those who are real high on Vazquez and Garland, remember that they shut down the Royals. I know they pitched well, but I want to see more.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) That's how an elite team is supposed to handle a crappy one. Very good series in all aspects. I don't care who you are, when you hold a team to 1 run in 3 games, that's gettin' the job done. I didn't even realize they only scored one run. That's awesome.

What could have happened is he got supoenead because he had a lot of issues with the guys in that locker room. Who better to talk to than someone who wouldn't want to protect any of them? Of course with the other names on that list, I really don't know for sure. I do know that he looks the same today as he always has unlike many of the questionable players.

Nothing like a blowout.

Ænima is my favorite, but Lateralus was the album that really blew me away. Musically it's incredible but it's not as easy to listen to as Ænima. I have to be in the mood for Lateralus. As for Maynard, I don't know this for sure, but from what I've noticed, he shows his face when he is doing promotions for APC but not for Tool. Could be wrong, but it's something to consider.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) Socks are still optional, right? Yes, but baseball pants are mandatory.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 12:27 AM) I think we're doing pretty well despite having the worst player ever to be put on a baseball field start in center for us. How about Royce The Choice? Or Mike Caruso? Things can always be worse.

Pujols now has 6 walk off homers. There are a few guys tied for second with 5, including Crede, Alex Gonzales, Vlad...and others I can't remember. I just thought it was cool that Crede was tied for second.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 11:05 AM) He hasn't really impressed me in CF to this point either. Misplayed a few balls from what I've seen and the only game I haven't watched was on Friday night. I haven't seen any real problem with his defense. I thought he made some good reads in Detroit and showed that he can cover a lot of ground. But it's tough to judge outfielders on TV. Meanwhile, Mackowiac is not playing any better than BA. Which is a blessing for Anderson because it means Ozzie won't question whether to play him. Unlike Pods, who is not playing as well as Ozuna. Let's hope it all evens out and Anderson and Pods get this going.

no problem Thome also had a quick interview before Hawk was on, but it was a lot of fluff. One thing he did say was that with all the homers hit this year it will make people forget the past. Somehow I doubt that, but I'm sure Selig would like it.

On Hit and Run: Says that hot balls can just happen without anyone saying so. Sees no conspiracy and might only last for a month. Points to Reggie Sander's pop up that took forever to come down. Buehrle and Garland having trouble defending themselves. Hot balls cause broken bat base hits which he thinks are coming more often, and is amazed by Crede's play during this period. Homeruns are not the most indicative aspect of the hot ball. Garland: Throwing good, but has bad location. Could be over extending his stride, but hasn't mentioned that to anyone. Points to the ball as a possibility as well, but noticed his control was off at the end of ST. That's really all there was, just a quick interview. But he thinks Pods will come around and the pitching will be strong.

I think I would have to see that to understand it exactly. Meanwhile, try Baseball Tycoon. It's a board game and it's absolutely awesome.

Read the discussion under the article I sent at the link. Either those people are nuts or everything in that article is BS. Weird stuff.

With Cintron batting the way he is, Uribe can take his time. What a great pickup he was.

New Album Info Easily my favorite band, and by far the best concert I've ever seen.

I used to get annoyed by the angle, but I haven't noticed it lately. I remember last year ESPN tinted their cameras yellow so a Chevy advertisement would show up better. Now that was annoying.

I get the feeling that Vasquez has the same problem that Contreras had, when he gets in trouble he throws the junk instead of the fastball. The problem is nobody chases it. When he learns to establish the fastball early in the game and work from there, he will be a solid pitcher again.
