I'm happy to see that Carter was out to educate kids and not spread partisan BS and feed off the uniformed. As for the rest of the article, he can believe whatever he wants, but I remember being 16 and having teachers say the same type of crap. That bothers me.

Hawk was talking about the DRays not bringing guys up because they didn't want to pay the extra money, if I recall. In this case they've already brought Upton to the bigs so it has to be his defense that's keeping him down.

This is the first time I'm seeing the payroll over $100 million for this year. I thought it was $95-96 million. I'm suprised to say the least.

I assume she wants to play an instrument whens she goes to work for the rest of the season... And the replacement sounds bad, I guess.

Singleton should not be allowed to do PBP at all, but I think he's a fine color man and has some good points to make. Unfortunately his career has been so recent and short that he doesn't bring much new to the broadcast. At least DJ could talk about Japan with Shingo and Iguchi. Has anyone noticed that they have a tendency to talk through a play? Sometimes they sound like Santo and Hughes, and it's really painful to say that. It isn't all the time, and maybe it's because Singleton is still learning, but it bothers me. All that said, if Farmer were a better PBP guy, Singleton wouldn't sound bad at all.

I think the design could have a little more to it. The BoSox one is really nice, for example. But after seeing the Marlins one, I'd rather have this one.
