  1. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 15, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) Why would anyone draft Freddy Garcia or pick him up? You must be in a 20 person league with expanded rosters or something. Garcia was actually ranked higher than any White Sox pitcher in the pre-season. He's currently owned in 80%+ of cbssportsline leagues. I have EVERY Sox pitcher on my team and Garcia and Maine. I have the best pitching in my league. Didnt take a pitcher until the 12th round with Garland.
  2. Easily the best Bauer of the season last night. His Ricky Henderson-esque slide taking out Chang's minions in the warehouse was top notch.
  3. QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ May 15, 2007 -> 01:13 PM) Like your attitude. I would love to sweep both. Also, I'm liking Waddle and Silvy in the morning on my way to work. I think they are becoming very good. They could have put Bozo and Cookie on to replace Salisbury and Rosenbloom and it would have been a significant upgrade. I agree though, I'm liking what Silvy and Waddle have to offer in the mornings so far. Thank the good lord no more Rosenblog, although we never did hear what happened with those two....and probably never will?
  4. Interesting poll on Silvy and Waddle this morning, and the results were a bit surprising, given the disparity between the two. Thought I give the same question here to see if the results came out the similar....
  5. Ok, thanks that helps alot. Sounds like Jim Beam Club is the way to go for VIP White Sox baseball experience. So just to get this straight, both scout seats and JB club have the buffet and drinks included?? How long was the bar open?? The proximity to the seats sounds like the best bonus the club has to offer. I've had the Levy buffet before at the Stadium Club, and that was top notch. I'm sure these cluibs have much more extensive selections though.
  6. Thanks for the review Rock, it defintiely sounds like a worth while experience. I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for when Jason might have some other games go up for sale in the future. So compared to the Scout Seats, basically the same as far as service/bar/food?? I've never been to either, and am kinda of undecided as to what to do first. It seems like the Scout Seats (with being right behind home plate) would be better, becuase theyre closer...but obviously I know Jim Beam Club is where the press box used to be and I'm sure the view from there is incredible as well. If you had to choose.....???
  7. QUOTE(So ILL @ May 11, 2007 -> 11:13 AM) what's Garland's career numbers vs. the Royals? he made his MLB debut against them and I swear he pitches in every series vs. them. 13-5, 4.00
  8. Must feel good to be a Mets fan with a 74% chance of making the playoffs. 0% chance of advancing.
  9. A bit steep already at 99.99, at 249.99 no way in hell. I kinda tend to somewhat agree with Wanne too, I'd much rather take my WS and All-Star game signed balls over a plain black leather ball with inscriptions.
  10. Terrero should get some playing time.... he hasnt seen an AB in over a week
  11. Couldnt find it on there, what are those fetching for??
  12. As has been, always will be.... this never gets old. edit: nevermind, I was trying to post the good ole' "Jose Contreras is a pimp" picture.
  13. This is why he is the ace kids, not necessarily on an all-star roster, but on our team..... Si' Way to go ETDB!!!!
  14. QUOTE(maggliopipe @ May 10, 2007 -> 01:48 PM) It's great to see Jose with his ERA currently down to 4.10 after the horrific start to the season. If he can get a couple more nice innings here and get it under 4, Danks (4.33) would be the only starter with an ERA north of 4. Opening Day aside, I want to say that all of Jose's starts were QS, or at least close to?? Not watching the game, but it seems like he has similar stuff cooking that he had a couple Friday's ago when he was facing off against Ervin Santana.
  15. First time that Sticky Danks will get face a line-up for the 2nd time. Faired pretty decent against the Twinkies the first time around, I smell his first MLB victory in the worst place imaginiable to get it.
  16. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 9, 2007 -> 11:06 AM) Lets face it. There are only a handful of relievers in all of baseball that are dominating year in and year out. We have some pretty solid guys in our pen but none of them are elite. Agreed, and with that being said, even the elite have heavy struggles throughout most year(s). Obviously Mariano has been horrible this year, he has probably blown more saves in the first couple weeks than he prviously mustarded up in his career for a year. AJ just knocked the unstoppable Shields right out of a easy hold situation the other day. Bullpens will have their struggles, but I still like to think that we are better suited than most in that category.
  17. Coming off only his 3 CG shutout in his career, I fully expect us to bomb the hell out of Washburn tonight. Or at least I can hope. Borrowing a line from Hawk, "he is due." He has allowed 7+ hits in 2 out of 4 starts..... Here we go Sweeney!!!
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 12:53 PM) Yeah, because signing a new, affordable contract usually drives guys' value through the floor. I'm sure the Reds use the same reasoning when they start him every day.
  19. Screw Baldelli, I'm willing to bet we could go get Freel for cheap from Cincy right now.
  20. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 12:20 PM) And I hope they have someone better there than Carlos May! LOl, somebody like Minnie?? This is a blast though, the free beer is worth showing up for alone. I'm kinda hoping they are showing off the new Jim Beam Club, I'd like to check the view from there.
  21. Thome was available to pinch hit on Wed. Ozzie might keep him out for one or two more nights, but I highly doubt we'll see the DL here. Tomorrow is supposed to be great weather, my bet is he is in the starting line-up.
  22. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 05:58 PM) They're talking about the series in Anaheim, not the series in Chicago. ya, I should probably pay attention to the dates...always have wanted to go out and visit the Big A in Anaheim though. I hear the Matterhorn down the road provides quite the thrill.
  23. Going tomorrow night and again on Saturday for the first fireworks night of the year..... looking forward to some better weather poppin over the weekend. Though I am kinda upset that I'll be missing Buehrle's next home start after the no-no becuase of the rainout today.
  24. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) There will be a day night double header on July 24th. Assuming with seperate admissions like the Twins make-up?? What ever happened to the good ole day with lets play 2 for the price of 1?? We still drink the beer
