  1. Historically, this is not true. Leury does have a history of being a solid bunter, including leading the AL in sac bunts in 2019.
  2. You are lucky, at his age, Tony's testicles probably aren't that heavy for you to carry around for him. Forget false outrage, why are you cucking a man who literally just told the world he didn't know how to do his job? Like it or not THAT is an important fact here, not your crusade to protect him like he is Brittany.
  3. Why do you keep repeating this? It was wrong the first time you said it. It was wrong the second time, and it is wrong this time.
  4. He quite literally said he didn't know the rule. So either you don't know what you are talking about, or you are accusing Tony of lying in his post game press conference. Which is it?
  5. Does Lyle Mouton know it?
  6. Coaching staff apparently didn't know either according the HOF person
  7. Adding -our Hall of Famer just admitted he doesn't even know the rules here.
  8. Tony can start being a HOF manager any day now. -He totally blew the double switch by slotting Hendriks into the slot where he would be base running with two of our best bunters coming up in Garcia and Hamilton. -Having Leury steal with Hendriks on third was absolutely terrible. -Pitching to Winker with a base open, when you could set up force outs at each base. This is the worst day of managing for Sox manager since Terry Bevington called for a non-existent pitcher from the pen. Give me back Ricky, please.
  9. No idea there.
  10. On the TLR comment, I would be a hypocrite if I said anything other than no comment right now.
  11. @DBAHO checks in every once in a while with the rest of the admin/mod team. Last I heard he was doing pretty well in his adult life.
  12. He's far from alone on that. There are a core group of somewhere around 10 people who can't leave Soxtalk, no matter how many times they have been banned.
  13. He's been banned here probably half of a dozen times under different IDs.
  14. Look, it takes a decent amount of courage and integrity to actually step up here and take responsibility for ones actions. So much of Soxtalk has just become doubling down on whatever dumb thing that happened to come out of one's keyboard on a previous post, that it turns entire threads and days into posting trash. There are quite a few people posting in this thread, and especially looking to see how far they can go before crossing a line, who could learn something from understanding what happened here. There is no obligation to follow up one shit post with another. I know the internet is full of oneupsmanship, but Soxtalk doesn't have to be like the rest of the internet. In fact one of the best things about Soxtalk historically has been the fact that people were more decent than 99.9% of the rest of similar boards and pages. Look we get there are reactions in the moment, but there is nothing wrong with taking a moment to reflect and learn. Good for CWS here. Hopefully a few others are taking notes.
  15. An echo chamber doesn't have debate. I think you want an echo chamber because you only seem to want to hear one opinion regurgitated back to you.
  16. It's sad that people think people are rooting for it by being worried about this hire. These hysterics do nothing to calm this topic. Especially as a guy was hypercritical of this organization forever, you should get this. Unless you are telling me that for years aand years you hoped for the Sox to fail and the Cubs to win so you could be right.
  17. The idea that all is fine forever because Tim and Tony are fine on Day 5 of spring training is the problem. This isn't over.
  18. No, but sure. Just go with it.
  19. What if I told you all of that is true, AND people still want to see the team win. I know it is difficult, but it is possible.
  20. An interesting pick up. Sounds like another wild high velocity guy. https://www.lookoutlanding.com/2019/4/3/18294311/mariners-open-their-third-eye-activate-connor-sadzeck-option-nick-rumbelow-to-aaa
  21. Depends on how badly their toes hurt from getting stepped on right now.
  22. This is also the type of position that Kenny has wanted in the past.
  23. Who is this guy?
  24. Timmy is a key guy too. Hopefully it lasts.
