To be clear, he said he called multiple players with this news today, and that he only got through to TA. He also kind of didn't answer the part about if he talked to players before the decision was made.

I mentioned Hahn's comments in the press conference thread, but it really seemed like they were looking at an internal candidate, and it sure felt like he was setting up Matt Zaleski to be the guy.

If we have gotten to this point, and Hinch really is a candidate, I promise you that Dallas was a part of the process.

A question was asked if Ricky could be reassigned within the organization. No specific mention of what the roll might have been/be, but Hahn pretty much said the only thing they talked about was the managerial position, so I don't see any chance of it happening now.
