That is an impressive gymnastics move to twist yourself from how important defense is, to crapping on the best defensive 2B we have because he doesn't hit like Kris Bryant.

I wouldn't say he has earned the job, but as of today his swing is noticeably shorter. If the kid can hit even a minimal amount, plus his top notch defensive, he is a major league OF. He'd be a great 4th OF. His defense alone makes him worth a back of the roster spot.

His reads have been 5 star, on top of his natural tools. Many elite speed CFs use that speed to cover up mediocre reads, but I have yet to see him turning the wrong way or bending a route to adjust.
