  1. Unless they want to flip a young pitcher at some point, probably. I think the injuries to Rodon, Avi, and Nate Jones make them pretty much worthless on the trade market. Abreu's slump might torpedo his value, but at the same time the Astros seem to have interest so who knows.
  2. Meija was also able to play every day in the minors.
  3. Why would you trade for a guy that you can't play in the minors? So you can either not play them, or stunt the growth of others? You have to be able to play the key guys. A perfect example is what are you going to do with another OF in the low to mid minors?
  4. I really hope I am wrong and someone gets a hard on for Soria. That would be wonderful for the rebuild.
  5. Apparently the White Sox injury curse of 2018 also does not spare former players.
  6. Dionicio Jimenez with 7 BBs and 8Ks in 3 2/3 IP. That is insane.
  7. Pretty sure in MLB, if a player gets cut with money still on the table, the old team pays them all but the league minimum, and the new team pays just league minimum. I don't think they get any more money on top of what they are owed.
  8. Yeah, I don't really care either, but that is what the fight is about.
  9. It is very specific contract language that dictates if he gets cut and signs a deal with someone else the team gets paid back the money for whatever contract he signs next. Example Smith gets cut for his 4th year due $5 million fully guaranteed. Then he goes and signs someone else for $4 million. The $4 million goes to the Bears and the Bears pay him the $5 million. Without the clause, Smith collects both the $4 million and the $5 million.
  10. Delmonico was not with the team in Charlotte the past couple of days. He is the one coming up.
  11. By the time you factor in September and April, that is two MONTHS being not used.
  12. lol, nice job. Literally nothing of this post had anything to do with the major league level. This was an epic miss of a rant. This was all about targeting guys for our MINOR league system, but doing it intelligently so they would still have spots to play in.
  13. This is easy. When you are only looking for the negative ones.
  14. After having 40 homers the year before, along with a 1.119 OPS.
  15. A high ceiling lefty would be nice, though scary with the injury. I would do it for sure.
