Eugenio Suarez put on waivers
Yeah, he can back up the infield with his glove and lack of bat. He has neither in the OF.

Tristan Peters will wake up WED morning as the fourth best CFer in MLB by fWAR
I didn't even have to check to see who made the wildly unrelated political leap.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
As true as that may be, I think you forget the description also fits Jerry.

How DARE you!

Sox acquire Brenton Doyle - trade Adams and Carlos Vielma (SS)
I am guessing that Jerry's spending depends a lot on how much in concessions that Jerry and the Hardliners extract from the players. The worse it is, the more likely he is to spend before spending picks up again.

Eugenio Suarez put on waivers
This reminds me of the Doyle and Castillo moves in that you are partially putting playoff hopes on fixing a guy in a very short period of time. I get why you would avoid him, plus immortal question... Where would he play?

How many times have they settled the stadium issue? Sounds like something else in the news...

Eugenio Suarez put on waivers
You deal realize that one team "receives" the punt.

Sox acquire Brenton Doyle - trade Adams and Carlos Vielma (SS)
Deploying real trade deadline resources and rerouting your top hitting prospect into this position at the same time, does.

Not if someone we all know can help it!!!

Sox acquire Brenton Doyle - trade Adams and Carlos Vielma (SS)
I am not arguing that at all. I don't blame them. I think he has some definite regression coming.

It is fair to say that even Chris Getz doesn't even really believe in Peters, as he has lined up two potential replacements very quickly in Doyle and moving Bonemer to CF.

Munemania: He has power
It's kind of interesting. With a month left in the season, and the way ups and the way downs, we kind of got what was largely expected. Big Power. Big K rates. Big Walk rates. Low average. 77 hits, 29 homers, 42 XBH. After this, it is still tough to say he is the high end guy who got figured out and waiting to adjust, or he is a lower end guy who had a hot streak and got figured out because of his contact rates. Extension talks should be interesting. Mune is 26, with his 27 season locked in, meaning his free agent season he will be 28. Pete Alonso got 5/155, but got that deal for his age 31 season. Is Mune there? Freddie Freeman was 6/162 for his age 32 season 4 years ago. Is the combination of a bit less than those guys, but 3-4 more years of prime production keep his valuation in that 5-7 at $30ish million per range? If not where?

Sox acquire Brenton Doyle - trade Adams and Carlos Vielma (SS)
They dumped a bad contract to do it, and still gave up a prospect to defray the costs instead of taking on the whole thing

We heard that at the deadline too.

It's his copy/paste job of someone else's work.

8/26 White Sox vs Rangers: Burke vs Gore 6:40 PM
But that trick never works...

8/26 White Sox vs Rangers: Burke vs Gore 6:40 PM
I was just going to ask this. I know people don't like him, I don't know that I have actually seen anyone say outloud that Robert was a bad teammate or a clubhouse problem. He took a lot of flak for always being hurt and all, but who actually said he wasn't a good teammate? Does that exist?

8/26 White Sox vs Rangers: Burke vs Gore 6:40 PM
At this point you are in the 3 to 4 million dollar range, not including his option. It's not much honestly.

Sox now have a Big Three. Mura, Vargas and Colson.
Because most people who fail like that at baseball never bounceback. He is the exception, not the rule.

Fegan on deadline acquisitions...
I think if we had sat there and said, ok add Mason Miller, Tarik Skubal, Adley Ruschman and Casey Mize, spent essentially our top 15 prospects of non-26 drafted guys to do it, I still am not sure I would have put us in that top level of teams, and at that cost, we give up a lot of reinforcements for 27-30. I get feeling it isn't worth it.

Is It Time To Call Up Bonemer?
Ron Kittle hit 40 something in one season, and 50 the next before his call up in 82.
-
Fegan on deadline acquisitions...
I do think looking at us versus the other contenders, it is reasonable to think that GetzCo looked at us vs the others and thought of how hard it would be to bridge the gap to be World Series level versus just backing into the playoffs and to decide that it wasn't worth what he would give up in the next few years to get there. I would agree with that sentiment.

Lock out 2027
I would agree with the human oversight for sure.
