The anti-education, anti-most people, pro-prison, and pro-pollution standpoints are rough. In general, it is nice to be in a very low tax, low cost state. My property taxes this year are under $1000.

I have zero belief that if Tony tells Chris who to draft, that Chris will tell him no. Maybe it is oversimplifying to say it isn't Jerry, but the front offices previously have been too scared to tell Tony no, to the point of his being forced back in as manager, and I do not believe that this has changed. Why? Because he is STILL hanging around being an influence. A guy like that isn't involved if he say doesn't matter.

Hell, he got other people to put up 80% of the purchase of the Chicago White Sox, and had other people build him, not one, but two baseball stadiums in the 1980s. The same guy who was absolutely ready to abandon Chicago for St Pete if he didn't get a stadium build for him by taxpayer funds.

I would settle for a billionaire that isn't a paper billionaire and has some liquid assets they are willing to invest into the team. The Sox have never had someone whose primary source of wealth wasn't owning a professional franchise.

And Jerry is the King of Chicago gentrification. Why are we pretending that he got to be a billionaire in a not exploitive way, when the evidence is right there in front of us all?

I think no matter who they draft you are going to see the Hatfields and McCoy's develop for the next few years. If nothing else, we will learn a lot about the progress of this organization to see how they handle this draft and subsequent development of these guys.
