I don't want it to be true, dude is a hero of mine. But he was struggling for definite sections of his thoughts. When Hawk goes, it will break me. Like losing a family member.

This is what makes these moves all of the more impressive. What Ishbia is pulling off is COMPLICATED. He's out there pulling together work with agencies and firms that are notoriously hard to work with. Hell dude is EMBARRASSING the Bears, and is probably getting Warren fired as he runs laps around his achievements. And there will be plenty of time for little details as time dictates. Right now is the time for big picture plans. We can pick out our parking spots later.

Man he does not sound good. He sounds very slow, and struggling.

It's why owners want more playoffs and less regular season. That's when the league makes it money because they control it all.

The real fans are already priced out, plus MLB controls tickets for the playoffs. It's already too late.

After 45 years of operating like Our Sisters of the Poor, Sox fans are rightfully excited about an ownership group that not only is willing to ACTUALLY invest in this franchise and city, but also, not run it as a profit driven entity for a cash poor leadership group. The Ishbia experience in Phoenix hasn't resulting in winning, but they have absolutely been willing to go out and acquire the best talent, and to try to improve the game day experience for the fans. Sure winning is the top ideal, but I will accept a franchise that does everything it can to try, versus the we have done nothing and we are all out ideas of the last half century.

I am here for this.

Hopefully the guy is happy. I know there was some bitterness over the way he got run out, and I don't blame him. Dude deserves his victory lap every chance he gets.

Make it $100 a person and we could afford Skubal when done.

In all seriousness, with a tease like we got, I get a vibe of a high level name, though I wouldn't go to the top levels as they are going to have to save some just in case they make it deeper in. Gotta have guys like the Pope or Barack out there for a World Series game.

It is surreal watching a real determined owner with real resources, instead of someone willing to take the biggest handout they can get. Ishbia seems determined to make this a top notch experience that Sox fans deserve. One that will grow the base instead of being stuck in some antiquated myth of a quickly disappearing past

The thing that's kept Soxtalk alive is the diversity of opinion. You don't have regurgitate the one true accepted opinion to be heard on this board. There's a lot of smart people (and Ron) coming from all different walks of life. Most even value that this isn't an echo chamber and can handle that with excitement instead of war. We value that diversity here, both Big D diversity and little d.
