That's just it. This doesn't sound like just a short rehab. They are talking spring training and catching practice, plus rehab.

This sounds a lot longer than we thought. More healing up, plus an extended rehab from the sounds of it. I wonder if June might be realistic?

He already settled once. Settling again less than a month into the season just seems wrong. In a year? Sure.

Honestly, I think I would be worried if Mune was ready to sign an extension that quickly. I want a dude with the confidence to bet on themselves, to some extent.

I started working in the financial district in 1998, and that whole entire area was nothing but warehouses and a few run down buildings. Watching the growth phase in the 2000's where all of the high rises went up between the south loop and McCormick place was wild. I hadn't seen anything about the One Central project, but holy crap is that ambitious. It would be incredible to get done, but as big as it is, I would be pretty surprised if it happens in the full form.

I swear some of you are new to the interwebs, having legitimate meltdowns for absolutely no good reason. Breathe people. Honestly, I like the TA comp because they both have a lot of point guard in their defensive game. The footwork is very different than a normal SS. You also see the QB throwing arm with the straight arm throwing motion and quick release. Offensively he is completely different, and that is where I like the Corey Seagar kind of thing.

You can tell the kid was a multi-sport athlete who wasn't primarily a baseball player growing up. He does things mechanically different than more pure baseball players. But he sure as hell seems to make it work.

Which also makes it a lot more likely to tweak a bad back, if it is the type of thing that is going to be a chronic problem, ala a Joe Crede.

Man would I love to know more about the injury stuff, and if the slump last year was related to that.

Any predictions? I have no idea what to expect down this far. I would be on a trade up or down, either to get their guy, or to gather more picks.
