  1. Any predictions? I have no idea what to expect down this far. I would be on a trade up or down, either to get their guy, or to gather more picks.
  2. You always know things changed when a thread like this goes quiet.
  3. Be happy about whatever you want, but when it turns into burning down every thread because certain people aren't shooting off fireworks in the streets, then yes, you will be rightfully mocked. Though i guess this thread was always meant to be a dumpster fire, so there is that.
  4. Be interesting to see if they do something quirky to build around it (like the warehouse in BAL, or the Monster in BOS) or if they move the tracks further to make it work.
  5. They just had a "one good week" which put them back up on a 63 win pace. I am still #team69, but in that general vicinity makes sense to me. It gets better, but there are still a TON of holes here that will keep them away from meaningful baseball.
  6. If you jinx him, I will come for you.
  7. He had 5 doubles to go with 4 homers in his first MLB stint.
  8. And even worse, we won't even run the successful small team models. We aren't taking advantage of trades to get truly young guys with seven years of effective control, we are dealing for post hype guys with 4 to 5 years. We aren't employing large amounts of scouts in the amatuer realm. We have quick existing in Cuba, and basically don't exist in the Far East outside of a single free agent signing in the last generation. Every cheaper line for talent, we are too cheap to invest in.
  9. He will leave Chicago for sure his feelings will be so hurt!
  10. This whole thread is bait.
  11. The Trolls troll. A master baiter, if you will.
  12. Kid has passed the eye test and the stats test. Not sure why he isn't at SS every day until an actually superior defensive SS comes along, but I guess we should be used to this by now.
  13. And the VPN happened right when they started winning. Weird indeed.
  14. And on a pace for 63 wins.
  15. Oh no, the Gilead purity police are always lurking.
  16. $150k is the max amount you can offer to a pick in those rounds without having to accrue a penalty for the signing. Honestly it is rather unusual for a HS pick to sign for that amount in general because they have the leverage of going to college and getting that NIL deal instead, and trying again a few years. As an example, in 2025, The Sox offered up a a slightly over $150 bonus to their 11th and 12 round picks and most other picks after that received exactly 150k.
  17. This. Dude would have walked in front of a truck sooner than work for Jerry Reinsdorf and his union busting crap again.
  18. I would be shocked if Fedde has any trade value of substance this year. It would be nice and all, but I am sure not willing to hold up a Hagen Smith or Shane Smith needing a roster spot for it.
  19. Funny, it was more productive here until you figured out your VPN.
  20. It definitely beats the alternative, but I long for the day where mediocrity over 17 games isn't worth an end zone dance.
  21. Sure buddy. You keep on fighting that fight. Look forward to the next THEY WOULD SHOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM A BAZILLION DOLLARS post.
  22. The We ShOuLD PaY hIm BiG mOnEy ThAt WiLl ShOw ThEm meme is played out. The defense of the White Sox as the cheapest franchise in baseball is one of helluva flex.
  23. They do not. He is supposed to be a full pledged free agent according to details published when he signed this deal.
  24. I was wondering how long he would hold out. History also isn't kind to pitchers who hold out, so hopefully Lucas at least got healthier.
  25. It must be someone they like being available at those points, but won't get past a team behind that point, but in front of the Bears. The team immediately in front of the Bears is at #24, and that is one slot NOT mentioned.
