Be interesting to see if they do something quirky to build around it (like the warehouse in BAL, or the Monster in BOS) or if they move the tracks further to make it work.

They just had a "one good week" which put them back up on a 63 win pace. I am still #team69, but in that general vicinity makes sense to me. It gets better, but there are still a TON of holes here that will keep them away from meaningful baseball.

Honestly it is rather unusual for a HS pick to sign for that amount in general because they have the leverage of going to college and getting that NIL deal instead, and trying again a few years. As an example, in 2025, The Sox offered up a a slightly over $150 bonus to their 11th and 12 round picks and most other picks after that received exactly 150k.
