  1. Hagen Smith 5 starts 3ip, 48 pitches 3ip, 50 pitches 3ip, 66 pitches 4ip, 59 pitches 2.1ip, 62 pitches. I really wonder when they start to extend him? Last year he maxxed out at 90 pitches, with 3 more starts in the 80's and another 10 in the 70's. Have to imagine it is coming soon here.
  2. 12 homers, 22 walks, 41 strike outs, in 126 PAs. 59.52% Three Outcomes percentage. Also fun: 25 hits for.... 12 homers 0 triples 0 doubles and 13 singles.
  3. With the three batter minimum, they have to be deployed differently than the used to, at the very least.
  4. Jerry. Jerry is the segment.
  5. Of course it is broken. What else would it be?
  6. A good announcer enhances the experience. A mediocre one is one you probably never notice or remember. A bad one is one that you audibly wonder WTAF is he doing?
  7. I think a "train" to describe the people who had confidence in Gonzalez would look something like one of those one man manual pump carts used in the old days on a railroad line.
  8. Full Stop Here: Jason Benetti left the White Sox because they wanted him to leave. Brooks Boyer pushed him to go find another job. If there is anything I hate, it is revisionist history.
  9. I can see why you hate Jerry so much then.
  10. I make no promises.
  11. The whole Eating on the Air thing is absurd. No announcer eats on the air of their own. They get told by their bosses (looking at you Brooks Boyer) to do promos for stuff in the park and make it look amazing for what it costs. Blaming Jason for it is ridiculous.
  12. Can I interest you in more bunting and utility players instead?
  13. If you want to boil Soxdom down to an economics question, that is fully a personal utility question.
  14. The Mune signing was about a close to universally loved as anything on Soxtalk.
  15. The Sox are in their Switch Hitter era how. Gotta sell it both ways.
  16. You are taking one no context quote, and turning it into this. Preference is a loaded word. My preference would be to have an owner who was willing to spend money on a real MLB contract, but that isn't going to make it happen. It also said nothing about not wanting to play for the White Sox, nor did it say anything about refusing to play for the White Sox. If he is any kind of a baseball fan I am sure he has a team he has a team he "prefers". But getting from there to LET'S PULL OUT OFF THE BIGGEST DRAFT TRADES OF ALL TIME, is crazy.
  17. That is a new personal favorite. Yeah, he played a great CF, but he was a real uggo.
  18. How could they have known?
  19. He's a bit depressed since he got whacked the bad way.
  20. He's just whackin it in my toolshed instead.
  21. So glad we took less on the Robert trade so we could "afford" him.
  22. People trying to sell some clicks eh.
