  1. All threads are going to be 1 news post and about 100 reaction posts. That's pretty standard around these parts. If you've been reading this thread you also know to whom and what the references are too.
  2. Adell played 89 games in CF last year. Even if he was really bad at it, the comparison still stands as Castillo has been really bad as an SP, in fact he was so bad, Seattle quit using him there... sound familiar?
  3. Nah, you aren’t gaslighting your way out of this. One person has been here projecting all of his s%*# on to Ishbia with zero evidence of any of it being accurate. In fact, it keeps getting proven false and made up fantasy. They are 100% due all the strays they catch, and it isn't you.
  4. Nah. The Rate will become one after they move. A domed data center hahahaha. HAHAHAHA
  5. So Ishbia isn't a cartoon villain twirling his comic mustache while laughing at the dome lovers of Bridgeport? Who knew.
  6. The problem is based on his previous temper tantrum in Seattle about his status, I am not sure he would be good with it.
  7. I remember sitting in the previous Texas stadium when it was 104 degrees at 10 pm, and with the stupid office building covering left field the air NEVER moved.
  8. Oh s%*#, Ron is on my side? I have to be wrong. I am switching to Kyyle's side.
  9. Dude, how could you leave out BOTH the INGRESS AND the REGRESS?!?!?
  10. I look forward to the day we get the Jerry version of these articles, because the cowards will eventually speak. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7563821/2026/09/04/arte-moreno-angels-sale-meddling-penny-pinching/?campaign=19611849&source=athletic_thewindup_newsletter&userId=6062851
  11. Going to quote just this part for emphasis, but the making s%*# up to be mad about is at insane levels in this thread.
  12. Like I said, I know its not easy, but you don't really have a choice at some point either. 2 ACLs is a really bad sign.
  13. I was going to make a joke about Romo being gone, but I think I will wait until Teel shows us he can stay healthy.
  14. You can't control what happens to you, but you can control how you react to it. I have definitely seen a lot of stories about injuries being a journey into coaching, or even just sitting and watching a game that you played for all of your life, and learning it at a whole other level from the outside. And to be fully honest, the odds were near zero he was ever going to get paid to play football anyway, so this might be the worlds way of getting him on the track to whatever he is going to do as a professional for the rest of his life. No it isn't easy, but neither is life.
  15. It isn't about the suffering, it is about what is being given up, at least for me.
  16. And giving up everything that is great about being in the City of Chicago and spring/summer/fall baseball. I will suffer through a few crappy days for those great days.
  17. I mean I get the extremes, but also, we are talking about needing a dome for something that happened once in the life of this stadium, and three times in the life of the former one for the weather to be affecting the World Series. There are going to be waaaaaaaaaay more good days and views lost, versus games helped. I would even get the argument if we lived in a more extreme place, but for what you give up, it's not a net gain IMO. I have sat through PLENTY of those horrible weather games in my life, and still wouldn't trade off.
  18. Find someone who love's you like Caulfield loves a list.
  19. Counting on guys in their first year back post TJS is just ignorant of history.
  20. I'm not. Smith prays every night to have a fraction of the career Tatis has had. It might be the worst trade in franchise history.
  21. Man this is Chicago, not Anchorage. Sure there are some crappy days, but not enough to require a dome. That's just weak sauce. Don't get me wrong, there are nice domes, but open air stadiums are just superior. Man up and act like Chicagoans.
  22. I definitely think a case could be made that both Castillo and Doyle come cheaper in the off season than at the TDL
  23. Both trades were just odd deals to do at the deadline. You want guys to help you now, not maybe next year. Maybe they do get turned around next year, but if they blow up the ship in the playoffs, is it worth it?
