  1. the hell you do.
  2. Well, most of our line up can't right now...
  3. Wow that is stark. The last couple of years the AL Central got fat off of the Sox, this year the Sox got fat off of the AL Central.
  4. Makes it a lot harder to blame the players...
  5. I will let you guys pick what Soxtalk character fits them. https://www.google.com/search?q=youtube+parks+and+rec+community+meeting&oq=youtube+parks+and+rec+community+meeting&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRigATIHCAUQIRigATIHCAYQIRifBTIHCAcQIRifBTIHCAgQIRiPAtIBCDgxNjlqMGo3qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&source=chrome.ob&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:dfa00423,vid:Ng_-HgRfGBY,st:0
  6. This thread has had the Ron Effect so far. 0-3. Lock it, delete it, and pretend it never happened.
  7. Nobody in the Al Central or AL West DESERVES to win a division title, but somebody's gotta lotto.
  8. There are definitely more than a few guys we have to head into the off-season with some major questions about, including pretty much all pitching.
  9. You won't have White Sox traffic 80 times a year...
  10. But almost exactly what Soxtalk predicted at the beginning of the season.
  11. Well, maybe we are seeing the reason Getz didn't go all in on 26.
  12. It could also be they snuck up on some teams, and that isn't happening anymore while simultaneously seeing half the roster run out of gas in their first MLB season.
  13. It would be way better if they had the same two halves in reverse. Peaking late is way better than early
  14. 100% yes. A bad year in the playoffs is way better than an embarrassing collapse.
  15. Honestly if the city gets back this land in some form, it might actually be better as a whole for Bridgeport overall.
  16. If fans didn't want it, there wouldn't be a market for it. Even if all of this comes together, it might take 5 to 10 years to build that type of following.
  17. Controversial opinion: Even if the Sox fall out of the playoffs, it's not the fault of Will Venable. He's managing what is in front of him. I think they kind of outplayed themselves to some extent early (guys way out performing their talents, luck such as 11 walkoffs, and a really awful division) and you are seeing some regression to where they probably should have been all along. I do worry most about the pitching going forward, as it pretty much all regressed this year, except for a couple of guys. To have Shane Smith, Dutch Schultz, Hagen Smith, and Christian Oppor regress they way they did was a worst case scenario, and I am not sure who you are building towards going forward. The offense has surprisingly been way ahead of the curve, despite some second half regressions that may well be due to the grind of a first long season ever. Getting starters out of Ant and Chase is huge, and you have some guys like Caleb coming in behind, plus Roch in the wings. Even if you do lose a guy like Colson to regression, we actually have some depth coming behind.
