That's the fun of this off season, whenever it happens, is figuring out what to make of half of these guys, Mune and Colson at the top of that list, but imagine trying to evaluate the futures of Hagen, Schultz, McDougal, and a few others too.

Kay is not going anywhere. He's got another year on his deal. Most likely he opens up at #5 in the rotation.

I wouldn't bring him back as a starter, but I have no problem spending a few million on his as a bullpen swingman.

There is no truth to the rumor that @ron883 voted for Jose Abreu twice in honor of his Chicago roots. It was three times.

Honestly it is Abreu, and then anyone else.

So TA achieved the most by far out of that group, probably had the lowest expectations, and yet guys like Michael Kopech never even get mentioned when the failings of that era are railed on. We dont' talk about the failings in his personal life.

Again, why TA, and the guys who DO get mentioned, who have very specific things in common, versus those who do NOT.

Did they do an Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert, or Yoan Moncada night?

Again, why not Michael Kopech? He came in with probably the highest expectations of anyone in that era, yet when the disappointments are listed, his name is never mentioned. Good teammate? Dude punched his roomate in the minors. The story he cheated on his wife within six months of their marriage, hence the quick divorce. Drug suspension, and racist social media posts also happened during his career. He also opted out of 2020. Is it ever brought up when he is mentioned? No. Why?

Like I said, there are tons of examples out there.

This. He did stuff that other players do all the time, and they never get called for it. Perfect example was the show the lefty reliever put on last night being way more in your face than anything TA ever did. No one said a word.
