Castillo to Sox for Dominguez, Boston Smith, Nolan Jones per Passan
Find someone who love's you like Caulfield loves a list.

Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
Counting on guys in their first year back post TJS is just ignorant of history.

I'm not. Smith prays every night to have a fraction of the career Tatis has had. It might be the worst trade in franchise history.

The deadline always demands a premium.

Man this is Chicago, not Anchorage. Sure there are some crappy days, but not enough to require a dome. That's just weak sauce. Don't get me wrong, there are nice domes, but open air stadiums are just superior. Man up and act like Chicagoans.

I definitely think a case could be made that both Castillo and Doyle come cheaper in the off season than at the TDL

9/3, Sox at Astros, 1:10 PM CT. Castillo vs Brown
Both trades were just odd deals to do at the deadline. You want guys to help you now, not maybe next year. Maybe they do get turned around next year, but if they blow up the ship in the playoffs, is it worth it?

What to do about Castillo for the rest of the season?
Two words. Ol Yeller

It's important to remember that Castillo and Doyle are also longer term projects. They weren't just for this season.
Excellent.

I have no idea what the M's owner looks like, but I have to imagine everytime he sees Castillos line it has to look something like the Jerry smirking meme.

9/2 GT, Sox vs. Astros, 7:10. Keep 'em Separated
The problem wasn't the decision, it's that he hesitated and made it an easy play at the plate. If he is going to go on contact, he has to be all in. Once he hesitated and drew the SS's attention, he needed to go back. He could have even deked to try to draw a throw and gone back, but he can't be out there in no mans land on a play like that.

Plus 67 walks, 9 hbp, and 87 hits allowed in 98.2 IP. That's legitimately crazy. 24 appearances, 23 starts and 98 innings. His pitch counts have to be off the charts.- 9/2 GT, Sox vs. Astros, 7:10. Keep 'em Separated
*He didn't walk anyone that you know of- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Except that is the way the law is written in Grant Park. It's almost impossible to build there due to people like Montgomery. Friends of the Park is just standing up for those rules.- 9/2 GT, Sox vs. Astros, 7:10. Keep 'em Separated
Apparently $117.50 per day, so that sounds about right.- And that's a f*** you, f*** you, f*** you, you're cool WHITE SOX WINNER
I really wish a lot would disappear in 2026, but alas, here we are.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Remember when I said how the rules were written for railroads and by railroads?- 9/2 GT, Sox vs. Astros, 7:10. Keep 'em Separated
If nothing else he collected that sweet game day check, and per diem.- McDougal back up per Fegan
This is a great question that has kind of been forgotten in this season. We all know he had a pretty serious injury history beforelast year and he stayed pretty injury free in 25. We were also told that there was a mechanical change made before the season that was made in his wind up which might have taken away from his deception. He definitely lost the ability to throw strikes and get ahead this year. Is that fixable? Was last year a fluke? Was this year the fluke? Who knows.- 2026 AL Central Watch
Because of their nature, these are all handshake deals. The biggest thing that suffers if you break it is your reputation, through it has started to happen more often than it used to. IMO, there will be an international draft before this deal actually happens.- “The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I am guessing that Ishbia self finances and makes the stadium a team asset to drive valuation.- And that's a f*** you, f*** you, f*** you, you're cool WHITE SOX WINNER
Wait, we have an appeal of this post... let's go to New York... This post has been overturned. Soxtalk still has both challenges left. - 2026 MILB Catch-All
