  1. Apparently the White Sox injury curse of 2018 also does not spare former players.
  2. Dionicio Jimenez with 7 BBs and 8Ks in 3 2/3 IP. That is insane.
  3. Pretty sure in MLB, if a player gets cut with money still on the table, the old team pays them all but the league minimum, and the new team pays just league minimum. I don't think they get any more money on top of what they are owed.
  4. Yeah, I don't really care either, but that is what the fight is about.
  5. It is very specific contract language that dictates if he gets cut and signs a deal with someone else the team gets paid back the money for whatever contract he signs next. Example Smith gets cut for his 4th year due $5 million fully guaranteed. Then he goes and signs someone else for $4 million. The $4 million goes to the Bears and the Bears pay him the $5 million. Without the clause, Smith collects both the $4 million and the $5 million.
  6. Delmonico was not with the team in Charlotte the past couple of days. He is the one coming up.
  7. accurate.
  8. By the time you factor in September and April, that is two MONTHS being not used.
  9. lol, nice job. Literally nothing of this post had anything to do with the major league level. This was an epic miss of a rant. This was all about targeting guys for our MINOR league system, but doing it intelligently so they would still have spots to play in.
  10. This is easy. When you are only looking for the negative ones.
  11. After having 40 homers the year before, along with a 1.119 OPS.
  12. A high ceiling lefty would be nice, though scary with the injury. I would do it for sure.
  13. He was DLd a few days ago.
  14. After seeing the adjustments it has taken for more raw pitchers to adjust up here, I think you want Kopech up sooner versus later if you think he is going to be on teh major league roster in 2019, especially if he has come back around at AAA.
  15. It seems like every time there is a chance that Engel could go out, someone in front of him gets hurt. I think Tilson got the chance to prove something, and really didn't show anything either at least in the eyes of management. I have very little doubt that Engels days are number. Even if it isn't in 2018, there is enough talent that is coming through here, that even if Engel starts to hit a bit, there will be enough talented players to dislodge him.
  16. I hope the Omar scouts half as well as he played SS.
  17. All of this is 100% true. What is scary is that they are putting up these numbers while raw as hell. They both have tons of room to grow.
  18. We have seen some pretty solid progress from him over the last month or so. The good news is that his ERA/WHIP has come down every single month so far this season, so he is making progress as the season moves along.
