I am not an huge fan of Personnel dropping themselves to engage with social media types, as typically draws into a lowest common denominator type discussion. Why, in an era of analytics and such, do we insist on putting our worst hitters in prime positions to get as many ABs as possible? We were literally maximizing some of the most value PAs for a guy we were literally on the verge of cutting. The difference between the 1 and 9 slots is almost an PA per GAME. The difference between the 4 and 9 slots is an extra PA every 2 games.
