  1. The regular season starts in exactly a month for the Sox. 4 weeks means he still needs a rehab stint to round back into shape, which probably pushes him out to mid-April on the low end, beginning of May on the high end.
  2. You know we have hit rock bottom when people are mourning the loss of Andrew Benintendi.
  3. The White Sox could set a record for the most wins gained from one season to the next, and still not finish .500.
  4. Without any qualifications, and even with near zero experience, Hagen Smith and Dutch Schultz are the White Sox two best pitchers today.
  5. If only we had people who were experts in those areas who were willing to do it for free for us, right?
  6. I think by law his arms has to fall off now, no?
  7. Sort of like a sports reporter who works for free. Interesting.
  8. Replacement players would be a great start.
  9. A meteor could blow through your head as soon as you walk outside, but I sure don't think you are hiding in the basement because of it.
  10. hahahahahahaha, you just make up whatever works.
  11. How about the fact he was terrible last year?
  12. Worse than the ownership group trying to avoid setting the worst record in the history of the game in back to back seasons? I will bet on the new ownership group all day, every day.
  13. It was like a week ago I gave you multiple examples of all of your non-sequiturs which have happened all over Chicago in the past few decades. Failure to launch of huge projects isn't some vast conspiracy, it's fairly normal because getting something of that size and scope off of the ground is difficult. Hell the White Sox themselves have been bound for like half a dozen different places and projects since the 1960s including Milwaukee, Seattle, Addison, Tampa, and others. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE WANT THE SOX, WHAT DO THEY KNOW THAT WE DON'T, right?
  14. Quoted again just for clarities sake. 121 losses. I don't want to hear that it could get worse, because the only team with a chance to do worse than that is the 2025 White Sox.
  15. I would be impressed if they did worse than the worst season in the 125 year history of MLB. No offense, but going for it and failing is WAAAAAAAAY better than this pile of radioactive waste we have here.
  16. If he can break the union and get a better cost structure, he sees his franchise shares go up by hundreds of millions potentially.
  17. That's a fair take, this is just mostly me reading tea leaves.
  18. I sure don't think he refuses, but that is a typical structure in this situation.
  19. People still haven't forgiven Jerry for 1994. if this is going to be as ugly and bloody as people claim, blame going to someone who is leaving the picture if very convenient for everyone else. This doesn't mean they won't be on the same basic page, but it will be Jerry with the knife, and not the new owners.
  20. My completely uneducated guess. -This is happening behind the scenes for a reason. -The path to ownership is happening. -I really like the idea that Jerry is going to stay behind and do the dirty work for the stadium and possibly the labor negotiations, and that they don't want to name a successor so that value is maximized by Ishiba staying out of it, and gets to ride in the spotlight with a fully positive experience when the change happens. This to make sure that the blood of the kills that Jerry is about to make don't get on the new ownership, and Jerry gets out at the max upon his death. -Once everything is settled, Ishiba takes over. -JR isn't selling now, but Ishiba has right of first refusal on his shares upon death, most likely at a preapproved price. This allows Jerry to have his estate planning done, succession done, and the team successfully transferred without blowing the tax implications Jerry is looking to avoid.
