Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
Knowing Robert, this is about when the injury happens.

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
For a team that was as cash strapped as they were, I was shocked they brought him back. it was an easy place to save.

2025 Old Sock Drawer
I think he is mocking those that though this trade was the end of the world because we gave up Burger, but I will let him say.

Ownership breakdown: ishbias 35%, Reinsdorfs 50%
Leave it to the Sox to be going to open air when the rest of the world has moved on to the thing the Sox did four deacdes ago.

Look, all you have to do is look at the actual actions of one Jerry Reinsdorf and you can see they don't view 35th and Shields as the best option. Hell even on the west side they are already working on a literal entertainment complex out of their own pockets. The idea that Jerry doesn't want this flies in the face of all of his actual actions, no matter what happens at the 78.

5/2 @ Houston 640 CDT, Cannon facing Valdez
If we managed to accumulate a zero war starting line up, that would be a huge step forward. We don't need superstars yet to do that much. But these kid have to keep playing.

Resilient White Sox/AL Central Attendance, somehow up 1.8% YoY for first 21 home dates
Again a better perspective is that the last time in White Sox history they averaged this few fans was the penultimate season at the old ballpark, where they averaged 13,071. That is 36 years ago in 1989. A large portion of the fan base is quite literally not old enough to remember attendance this bad in their lifetimes.

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
Hopefully Tim Elko is not that dumb. That s%*# follows you around forever, and teams will downgrade your value because of it.

Resilient White Sox/AL Central Attendance, somehow up 1.8% YoY for first 21 home dates
It's harder and harder to get big percentages when the base number gets smaller and smaller. You get into the ones who will literally never leave, and we are getting to the point where that is about all that is left.

Perfect way of saying "not true". Great job.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
I really hope the guy succeeds. As of right now that deal is a nuclear falllout of a disaster unless Vargas turns out to be a useable player. It would be nice to get at least a guy who you can roster without needing to keep adding old timey utility players to play instead. If this thing is ever going to happen, we need to start winning in the minutia of these kinds of deals, because we literally have one major asset left to cash in, and if that is only if Robert starts to act like Luis Robert.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
Or so desperate for a success that we are putting up Mission Accomplished banners on our battleship.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
No no, it is absolutely a good week that does.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
I will go with longer term trends vs shorts spurts as being more relevant typically, but sure.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
Oooooh, going right for the jugular.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
I mean can we get a few weeks of decency before we start taking victory laps?

Yes, we have to play another game home against Brewcrew, 5/1 @ 1:10 CDT
Maybe soon he will catch the legendary Lenyn Sosa for OPS.

Maybe at your age you have forgotten, but this was the story we were fed when they built the last park 35 years ago. Instead they destroyed the charm of the immediate area and turned into into a sea of mostly empty parking lots.
