QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 12:36 PM) Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...even without slotting Moncada in at 2b yet, if you believe in Yolmer at all, what good does adding a piece like Albies do for you? As far as the Braves go, I would be more interested in Acuna and Maitan, but pretty certain those are two guys they would be leery trading away for Q right now. Maitan is #1 on my Atlanta list unless there is some updated scouting information I don't know about. He is the type of guy that will be a top 10 prospect in a couple of years.

Who is the biggest surprise of 2017 so far?

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 10:00 AM) Yeah, I don't know. If you were to give me all three options I very well may have voted Leury Garcia with an .800 OPS in Mid June with essentially a starters load as least likely. I smell a poll.

QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 09:27 AM) from David Schoenfield link So to be clear, Francis Martes + Franklin Perez + Teoscar Hernandez? why move him if that is the package? The farm provided they sign their first 15 picks is loaded with pitching and still needs more hitting. If Q is going to get moved to the Astros, Yankees or Dodgers for Hahn to say yes this season it would likely have to be for a package like this, he still has 8 starts including tonight to turn it around. Astros: Kyle Tucker + Franklin Perez + Yordan Alvarez or Jonathan Arauz Yankees: Blake Rutherford + Chance Adams + Dustin Fowler or Miguel Andujar Dodgers: Alex Verdugo + Walker Buehler + Yusniel Diaz or Keibert Ruiz I mean the Astros could offer that, but I feel like half a dozen other teams would beat that offer... and it would probably still be short of what Hahn is asking.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:51 AM) Why would that be funny or a surprise? James Shields is a respected veteran with a good MLB career under his belt. Plus he is also a tallish pitcher, so the mechanics are probably pretty similar when it comes to using his trunk in the delivery process.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:37 AM) That sounds like it is flawed, it seems like Leury throws to the wrong base a lot. I like him but his athleticism covers a lot of mental mistakes he makes And he likes to blow through the cutoff man too.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 04:41 PM) Robertson is terrible in non save situations. You can tell how little he has worked lately. He had nothing on his off-speed stuff. That was his 4th game in the 15 days of June. He has been in two games between June 7 and June 15. No command at all.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 04:35 PM) He's trying to get himself a save haha...does it work like that? If the closer comes in on a non-save situation, pitches himself into a save situation and still closed out the game, does he get the save? Nope.

Robertson to work the 9th, his first outing since Saturday.

Davidson fooled badly right there. It was a spinner right down the middle.

STOP THE PRESSES, TIM ANDERSON JUST WALKED!

Baltimore shot themselves in the foot on that misplay of the bunt. It won't show up in the box score, but that was basically an error.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 03:13 PM) Is RR overusing Swarz or is my perception off? All of the pen is getting overused, but that is what happens when they cover 4-5 inning in each game.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 02:57 PM) Not if they are in Illinois. They aren't there obviously.

Both Avi and Renteria just got thrown out. Avi got called out on a check swing appeal and pointed at his eyes towards the ump to get tossed. Renteria came out and went ballistic after it for him to get tossed.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 02:55 PM) He can't seem to get past five innings He is not at all conditioned to start right now. Dude started exactly 1 game this season before this run of emergency starts.

This is excellent https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/875434829545967616

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 02:33 PM) Oh man is the pressure on Rizzo. There's really no choice but for Rizzo to accept that going to get bent over in trades to get that team help. Sure, Rizzo can try trading for more Albers types but he will need a solid closer as well as at least one set up arm and those are going to leaves Rizzo with the sensation of being reamed, again. The Sox had their eye on Crowe until the Nat's snatched him up. Wouldn't mind if a trade changed his name to 'ptbnl' until the season is over. Can't do that anymore. A draft pick cannot be traded or a PTBNL until after the World Series of his draft year.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 02:31 PM) I don't want to go overboard, but Matt Davidson has the chance to be the greatest third baseman the league has ever seen. Continue
