Who would you be most upset if the Sox traded them?
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 02:27 PM) Swarzak is a free agent after this year, you take whatever you can get for him at the deadline. Yep. Put a price on him, if no one meets it, he goes to the highest bidder on July 31.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 17, 2017 -> 11:16 AM) Caulfield gonna caulfield. Little do you know the list was originally supposed to be 78 names long, but board set up only allows 10.

Luis Robert signing official
QUOTE (shipps @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 03:22 PM) We are also hoping that Robert is a far better talent than Dayan ever was. Dayan was never a true major leaguer even at 23. If Robert is the dynamic talent that they expect we will see him in a couple years for sure. Plus, the Sox have shown that you can usually take what you think is the conservative route/time of bringing up a guy and then subtract a year off of that for when they actually come up. I used Viciedo has he has been on the same development path as Robert, and he is the same age as Dayan when he signed. Don't forget there was a school of though that Viciedo could be on the team right away when he signed, or at least within the same year.

Luis Robert signing official
QUOTE (FT35 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 03:02 PM) I think this is conservative. Robert is 19 now--There are many young stars who make their MLB debut at age 20. Don't know if he's in this category or not yet--too soon to tell but both Manny Machado and Bryce Harper made their debut's at age 20--they seem to be doing OK. I think you're right about this year and next, but I would think IF HE PERFORMS the way he should and is capable of, 2019 could be the year we first see him at age 21. Did either Machado or Harper take a year off of baseball? I think that has to be factored in, as well as playing baseball in Cuba isn't the same as playing it even if the US minor leagues. With each Cuban position player we have seen bad habits and sectors of their game that needed to be worked on. 19 year old Dayan Viciedo needed basically 3 full minor league seasons (the last two mixed with short call ups) before he could play a full season in the majors at 23. We might see him at 21, but he probably won't be ready at 21.

Post Draft - Top Prospect List
I might rank Evan Skoug higher than anyone drafted this season besides Sheets and Burger.

Updated teams interested in Q
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 12:36 PM) Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...even without slotting Moncada in at 2b yet, if you believe in Yolmer at all, what good does adding a piece like Albies do for you? As far as the Braves go, I would be more interested in Acuna and Maitan, but pretty certain those are two guys they would be leery trading away for Q right now. Maitan is #1 on my Atlanta list unless there is some updated scouting information I don't know about. He is the type of guy that will be a top 10 prospect in a couple of years.

SSS Theater: Avi Garcia
QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 10:00 AM) Yeah, I don't know. If you were to give me all three options I very well may have voted Leury Garcia with an .800 OPS in Mid June with essentially a starters load as least likely. I smell a poll.

Updated teams interested in Q
QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 09:27 AM) from David Schoenfield link So to be clear, Francis Martes + Franklin Perez + Teoscar Hernandez? why move him if that is the package? The farm provided they sign their first 15 picks is loaded with pitching and still needs more hitting. If Q is going to get moved to the Astros, Yankees or Dodgers for Hahn to say yes this season it would likely have to be for a package like this, he still has 8 starts including tonight to turn it around. Astros: Kyle Tucker + Franklin Perez + Yordan Alvarez or Jonathan Arauz Yankees: Blake Rutherford + Chance Adams + Dustin Fowler or Miguel Andujar Dodgers: Alex Verdugo + Walker Buehler + Yusniel Diaz or Keibert Ruiz I mean the Astros could offer that, but I feel like half a dozen other teams would beat that offer... and it would probably still be short of what Hahn is asking.

Giolito pitcher of the week
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:51 AM) Why would that be funny or a surprise? James Shields is a respected veteran with a good MLB career under his belt. Plus he is also a tallish pitcher, so the mechanics are probably pretty similar when it comes to using his trunk in the delivery process.

SSS Theater: Avi Garcia
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:37 AM) That sounds like it is flawed, it seems like Leury throws to the wrong base a lot. I like him but his athleticism covers a lot of mental mistakes he makes And he likes to blow through the cutoff man too.

O's and Sox "getaway day" game thread
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 04:41 PM) Robertson is terrible in non save situations. You can tell how little he has worked lately. He had nothing on his off-speed stuff. That was his 4th game in the 15 days of June. He has been in two games between June 7 and June 15. No command at all.

O's and Sox "getaway day" game thread
QUOTE (Scoots @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 04:35 PM) He's trying to get himself a save haha...does it work like that? If the closer comes in on a non-save situation, pitches himself into a save situation and still closed out the game, does he get the save? Nope.

Baltimore shot themselves in the foot on that misplay of the bunt. It won't show up in the box score, but that was basically an error.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 03:13 PM) Is RR overusing Swarz or is my perception off? All of the pen is getting overused, but that is what happens when they cover 4-5 inning in each game.
