  1. Look, for 25 of the 26 players on the White Sox roster, I would love to see them succeed, despitethe odds. The 26th gives me joy to see him fail. Also
  2. Except for the whole pitchers arms falling off thing.
  3. Likely? Uh, sure.
  4. Because when I look at this roster I think, damn why don't we have enough 30 something's who won't be around when we have a chance of being good to block the guys who should be getting opportunities. Thank god He Getz Us.
  5. It's also very scary that the company line seems to be their player development can only develop a very narrow focus of players, and doesn't seem to have the ability to do anything with most, even very highly talented and thought of players. We are talking about multiple consensus first round draft picks, but somehow this organization isn't able to do anything with them. That's a big red flag to me.
  6. And it isn't even just the actual prospects. It is how they are being used (or neglected). It is who is playing at the major league level, and who isn't. This franchise has a weird older utility player fetish that seems to have survived both Kenny and Rick, and still exists for Chris. Hell maybe that is some weird Jerry thing for it to still be going.
  7. No they don't. They see what is actually in the system, and how it translates into nothing even close to covering all of the major league holes we have.
  8. And it quite literally playing from the exact same playbook again 35 years later, but somehow this is different. It is so completely absurd.
  9. You do realize that when a franchise is worth $2 billion, that any owner, by definition, will be a greedy billionaire owner, right?
  10. Again, we can TALK about results all they want, but I want to SEE results. A great place to start would be our minor leaguers showing any amount of baseball IQ, or looking like they belong when they get here.
  11. He should have been last year.
  12. Yeah, look, things were going to be bad, we all saw that far ahead, but no one planned for the worst ever. That shouldn't be where the line is.
  13. To be fair, ownership/management told the fan base that this was to prevent a rebuild, and that because we are in the AL Central, this would be easier. But sure. It's the fans. And if they were intentionally lying to us, this is the same group that is now telling us how great everyone they hired is, and that everything will be just fine, so you can see how we don't really believe them.
  14. We just did that for 30's something middle relievers.
  15. It is Jerry's unwillingness to hire someone who will challenge him and the status quo that stopped us from hiring an outside candidate, and not a potential change in ownership at some unknown point in time that prevented it causing them to settle for Getz. That is glaringly obvious to me.
  16. So how did we get the guys below Getz to come here, if talent isn't willing to do so? Are they not talented?
  17. If Jerry has destroyed this organization to the point where no one is willing to come work here, we have a whole other set of problems. The idea that it could be because of ownership change is laughable. There are exactly 30 of these opportunities available, and about half a dozen people out there who really have the ability to turn down one of them to wait for the next one.
  18. Crazy thing if they get Worthy in 82, they almost certainly don't get MJ after that.
  19. I still want to see that all of these amazing hires actually change something. The early results haven't been any different than what we just saw, and it seems like trades have been markedly worse.
  20. Jerry is one of the richest, most ruthless, and successful real estate developers in the history of Chicago, who parlayed that success into convincing other people to pay for a vast majority of the White Sox so he could operate them as his own vanity project. If a guy like Justin Ishbia has a playbook, it’s because a guy like Jerry wrote every page for him. If you demonize Ishbia, you accidentally demonize Jerry, because they are the same person, doing the same things to get and stay rich.
  21. He may be the one person in this organization who needs to retire more than Chris Getz.
  22. I will be the guy who states I have never watched a full Bond movie. The genre and the knock offs ever did anything for me.
  23. You can go for the OG, or you can even start a clean 2025 version.
