  1. If only the Yankees were willing to offer Jones (lol)
  2. Probably since Magglio
  3. AC Slater couldn't even save this mess.
  4. 2 of those guys are years away. 1 was awful last year. The other 2 weren't good enough to merit a September call up.
  5. You let me know who they are.
  6. He wasn't good enough to compete for the job on a 121 loss team in September, but now he is. Ok.
  7. There is zero chance the 2025 White Sox will be "entertaining". Even with Crochet and Robert they were the worst team in the history of baseball. Keeping them just makes the time until getting good again even longer, because we will soon be losing them for nothing if we don't trade them. [Insert picture of a Vette in a sinkhole here]
  8. A completely power empty .274 is pretty awful. It's one thing if you are Steven Kwan or Luis Arraez and putting up a league leading average, but when you have zero power you have to bring a decently above average in something else to be useful.
  9. Chris Getz. Either the prospect, the player dev guy, or the GM is on line 2.
  10. Luis Robert sez Hola.
  11. Yeah it scares the s%*# out of me, but at some point you have to act like big boys who believe they are a 21st century baseball team complete with scouts and development. If they believe Made is a guy, make the deal for him, and around him.
  12. Might as well lose out and hope for a chance at Will Campbell.
  13. That is a really interesting update. Maybe the Brewers can get into the conversation if they are willing to start with him and 2-3 of the rest of their top 5 while at the same time teams like the Red Sox and Orioles aren't willing to include their top guys.
  14. Well, that's where we have to hope and pray that we have hired better scouting and player development than the last group.
  15. After this deal, every free agent probably went back and added 25% to their demands.
  16. I think they have the type of deal that about 5 teams could beat if they wanted to. We really need the type of deal that is almost impossible to beat.
  17. This is the last warning. The thread has been cleaned out and split, and I don't want to do it again.
  18. They lack stars at the top that a few other systems could offer.
  19. If second rate farm systems are still in the running this deep in the game for Crochet, that probably tells us what the offers currently look like.
  20. To me this is the interesting thing. If Soto is worth $50+ per year, is a couple of years of Robert at $20 million really that big of a risk? At the very least it looks a lot better today than it did at the same time yesterday.
  21. How you draft a "generational" QB, yet leave him with that toilet bowl of an offensive line is almost negligence.
  22. The rumor is Jerry also offered 765, but it was thousand, and not million.
  23. Now we just need the Mets to offer their top 10 for Crochet
