Cease To Padres per Passan
I posted that article a while back, but it also sounded like that was more like what the Sox were looking for, versus offered.

7/10 Campfire Milkshakes vs. Twinkies Straight DH 1:10PM CT
The expectation is that he goes to AAA after today.

You can get away with not spending big, but you HAVE To have a minor league system which gives you cheap and quality talent on a regular basis. The Sox don't have that as of today.

GMs skeptical teams meet price for Robert
So we haven't actually drafted or developed any real contributing major leaguers, but we sure hope we do soon. I know the lists of names are nice, but between a fair amount of regression by many of our top hitting prospects so far this year, and a dearth of actual quality hitting prospects, especially those we actually drafted ourselves, I am not going to be ready to say things have actually changed until we have guys at the major league level actually doing something. Listing interesting low level minor leaguers doesn't actually demonstrate change here. Developing actual average or better major leaguers actually shows progress.

7/10 Games
He was in RCF to start to, that is a lot of range.

Wow, nice way to get out of that!

7/10 Campfire Milkshakes vs. Twinkies Straight DH 1:10PM CT
Pen is already up in the first inning. That's a worse case scenario in a DH.

24 pitches in, no outs. Twins seem to be recognizing off speed out of his hand so far, and just aren't offering.

His future paychecks for the next year and a half.

That is definitely fair.

If you want to have this argument, have it. I would definitely argue that Andrew Vaughn has gotten no where near his talent level. I would also argue that Sheets isn't really done much either. This misses the broader point that the Sox actually have a horrible history of drafting and developing their own talent. If they had this ability, they wouldn't be looking at one of the worst seasons in baseball history and looking to sell of their talent to acquire it from somewhere else. The whole reason this last round failed was because they couldn't develop hitters.

It is impressive to simultaneously take credit for something while disavowing it.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I guess it seems obvious to me, but I might think deeper than surface level quotes to a friendly writer.

The hitters the White Sox drafted and developed on the roster today are Danny Mendick, Gavin Sheets, and Andrew Vaughn. If that is doing well, it explains a lot.

Believe me, I really get how much we need position players right now. But the ones at the top look to all have decent flaws, some of which we can't deal with at all as an organization. What are we actually good at? Developing pitching. Seems like maybe the prudent move to me, but it is what it is.

Moncada might play again. Nobody cares
Could very well be, but also I don't think either of those guys has the history or reputation of Clevinger.

Moncada might play again. Nobody cares
We did, and that could absolutely be done for Eloy and Yoan as the team isn't going to want to pay to buy them out anyway.,

Out of the three Griffin Cags Wether Not really a fan of drafting a full 1B at slot, but the Wether injuries scare me more. Honestly if it were up to me, I would be all over Hagen Smith.

Cease To Padres per Passan
If they aren't willing to trade Jones as a 45 FV, instead of a 55 or 60, maybe the teams value Dominguez differently and accurately enough to get a deal done. The "willing to trade Jones" thing complete lacks context, especially when some critical thinking is applied to it.

2024 MiLB Catch All
He's already on the 40 man roster, so at least we don't get another prospect getting cut for his one day on the roster.
-

Maybe rushing to judgement for a SSS of stats from draft year MiLB numbers when the kid played more than he ever has before was the actual problem?

Moncada might play again. Nobody cares
Unless Moncada leaves and tells everyone that the Sox contributed to his injuries by forcing him back too soon. Then it matters.

I am not going to say you are wrong.

And keep in mind that the Sox are already 15-20 games worse than the last rebuild, before they even finished their trading. This has a looooooong way to go.
