  1. I think the issue is people seem to think that Pedro cares what the media and people think. I believe it is really obvious by what he states and how he states, he doesn't. He is saying as little as possible to protect his people. I am more bothered when he does speak up and throws someone under the bus than by when he plays dumb for his players benefit.
  2. He just seems like the exact kind of guy the team falls in love with. A high ceiling pitcher who is close the majors and could be at the front of their rotation for a LONG time.
  3. Look Pedro is really bad at this part of his job, but I do believe most of the time when he states he doesn't know, he is just not saying what he knows to protect whoever he is protecting.
  4. Not to give Pedro the benefit of the doubt, but I am sure he knows and is just not snitching and putting his business out there in case they come back and fine him.
  5. I am having a harder and harder time explaining why it happens to a few specific franchise, and not others.
  6. After Vaughn and Torkleson's struggles, I get it.
  7. I was kind of thinking the same thing. I can see passing on the 1B, but I can't see this organization passing on a dominant lefty unless there is some red flag out there. I guess the other thing is that they have some kind of structured plan already in place with the HS kid taking a bit less so they can spend it over the rest of the picks, including some post round 10 stuff.
  8. Plus he isn't Latin enough to be released that quickly.
  9. Seems like a pretty extreme punishment to me.
  10. I think people way overestimate how many people would turn down an MLB managerial job. Outside of guys with long track records and some ability to be picky, the number is near zero.
  11. Getz might actually fire Pedro for this one.
  12. If the Sox were looking for a pitcher they could flip with value, they should have signed someone of value.
  13. And was just DFA'd to make room for the Clevinger injury replacement.
  14. Even if you want to call his performance "hindsight" it isn't to hindsight to say that no one wanted him at the deadline last year, nor did they all winter long. It was a stupid move that wasn't worth the upside.
