  1. It is impressive to simultaneously take credit for something while disavowing it.
  2. I guess it seems obvious to me, but I might think deeper than surface level quotes to a friendly writer.
  3. The hitters the White Sox drafted and developed on the roster today are Danny Mendick, Gavin Sheets, and Andrew Vaughn. If that is doing well, it explains a lot.
  4. Believe me, I really get how much we need position players right now. But the ones at the top look to all have decent flaws, some of which we can't deal with at all as an organization. What are we actually good at? Developing pitching. Seems like maybe the prudent move to me, but it is what it is.
  5. Could very well be, but also I don't think either of those guys has the history or reputation of Clevinger.
  6. We did, and that could absolutely be done for Eloy and Yoan as the team isn't going to want to pay to buy them out anyway.,
  7. Out of the three Griffin Cags Wether Not really a fan of drafting a full 1B at slot, but the Wether injuries scare me more. Honestly if it were up to me, I would be all over Hagen Smith.
  8. If they aren't willing to trade Jones as a 45 FV, instead of a 55 or 60, maybe the teams value Dominguez differently and accurately enough to get a deal done. The "willing to trade Jones" thing complete lacks context, especially when some critical thinking is applied to it.
  9. He's already on the 40 man roster, so at least we don't get another prospect getting cut for his one day on the roster.
  10. Maybe rushing to judgement for a SSS of stats from draft year MiLB numbers when the kid played more than he ever has before was the actual problem?
  11. Unless Moncada leaves and tells everyone that the Sox contributed to his injuries by forcing him back too soon. Then it matters.
  12. I am not going to say you are wrong.
  13. And keep in mind that the Sox are already 15-20 games worse than the last rebuild, before they even finished their trading. This has a looooooong way to go.
  14. I am more worried that the Sox continuing to abuse and reinjure already hurt players is going to do more damage with their reputation down the road than saving Jerry a few bucks on a buy out. Sometimes penny wise is pound foolish.
  15. Luis Arraez is playing in his 5th MLB season, meaning after next season he would be gone. How many wins do you think Arraez would have added to this team at the expense of the players we would have had to give up? Do you think it would have gotten us to say 50 wins, instead of 46? You really think it would be worth giving up players to do that?
  16. I mean just don't be that guy. I get yelled at all day long, and I am not going to cry about being a victim of getting what I give... unlike some.
  17. what do you really think the MIGHT is here? 5%? 1%?
  18. Please tell me you aren't going to go to pieces because people argued with you over a hot take?
  19. This is overrated when it comes to certain players. Sure didn't stop Aaron Judge or Gio Stanton from betting paid.
  20. Especially since we supposedly brought a couple of these washed up clowns and unlikeable assholes in because of "leadership" and "accountability"
  21. Exactly. A whole lot of words to say nothing at all.
  22. I know you keep harping on the Yankees not being willing to include Jones, but that story lacks context. Jones has had an awful year, as has pretty much every highly rated Yankees prospect. Knowing this, plus knowing the Sox are asking for the moon tells me that the Sox probably value Jones much less than they used to, so when the Yankees "aren't willing " to include Jones I'd almost certainly bet it means they aren't willing to take a haircut on his value, vs aren't willing to trade him at the level of where he was valued previously. Instead of panicking, they are waiting to see him rebound.
  23. I can't believe you are endorsing a 40 win baseball team. It makes me think you are trolling again.
  24. Do we really need to talk about the difference between basketball and baseball? I am pretty sure you know this.
