  1. So much for the rumored promotion
  2. They could have done it if they had added premium free agent talent instead of C tier players.
  3. @greg775this is why you trade Crochet.
  4. Two things that Sox don't do with position players. Drafting. Development.
  5. I think we get a piece out of someone's top 10. You can't teach that arm
  6. A top 5 pick next year would actually be better than this year from the sounds of it.
  7. Yeah, this was the plan all along. Next year they are probably looking more like the 120 inning range, with a full season look in 26.
  8. I do. Keep their players off the market
  9. https://dodgersway.com/posts/dodgers-news-tyler-glasnow-out-of-all-star-game-another-trade-deadline-need-rays-paredes-01j2f0vmv317
  10. That's a .333 winning percentage. That's way better than the .250 we had been doing.
  11. Well Ozzie Jr does understand not being worth picking in the draft.
  12. A special shout out to the Cubs for kicking the s%*# out of the Orioles and hopefully helping this process along a bit.
  13. If that moron thought he only needed to throw fastball to major league hitters, we'll the results speak for themselves
  14. And then hired someone even more unqualified without interviews
  15. TJS will do that to a mediocre pitcher.
  16. The hope is that someone thinks they can tap into this more than the rest of his mediocre career so far. Granted mediocre would be an improvement at 1B over a couple of contending teams have now. I think we are looking something in the 10 to 20 range in terms of a prospect ranking out of a teams top 30. Maybe more like a top 10 guy out of an awful system like Houston.
  17. Would be very interesting know what kinds of discussions the Sox have been able to have with high school kids they could push down the list. Not to mention with NIL now a thing at the college level, there is less incentive than ever to take the money and run to the pro's.
  18. As well they should. This isn't like he has had a bad couple of outings. Dude has been failing for years now. It blows me away that a guy on the brink of free agency would be this uncoachable when he has had so little sustained success with his insane level of potential.
  19. Those numbers also completely ignore that he had one terrible start which destroyed his SSS. Remove that game and his line is 6 ER in 29.1 IP for a 1.84 ERA with 10 BB and 19 K over that span. His FIP would also look very different. If you aren't seeing something different in him, you aren't looking.
  20. It does appear a couple of teams could use him, but I can't see it being for much. Dude has a pretty big price jump on the calendar next year if they tender him.
  21. Pretty sure we aren't getting a top 100 for Andrew Vaughn. Fedde should be a different story.
  22. Where did this come from?
  23. Usually these are different ways of saying the samething.
  24. His July is already fading that run away. .200/.286/.400/.686
