  1. 2026 seems like a solid time frame for both. Schultz should be pushed up to the 150-160 innings range, and Smith will barely see A ball.
  2. The question isn't even if he could be a star, it's could the Sox turn him into a star.
  3. Smith actually has a great base, so zero.
  4. Looking at guys like Basallo and Rushing being potential targets from teams that could really use Sox players, that's not a bad call.
  5. And the White Sox still haven't shown they can do it.
  6. Sounds like this might free up some signing space for HS kids later on.
  7. Sure, we want more position players, but do you trust the Sox to play into the weaknesses of any of those kids? Can they get less swing and miss out of their guys? Can they keep hamstrings healthy? Can the develop a really raw high school kid who didn't see real competition? I trust them way more to turn Hagen Smith into a really good major league starting pitcher than I trust them to develop anyone with those flaws into a really good major league hitter.
  8. Short of his arm blowing up, I feel the same way.
  9. Nah, I will allow it.
  10. Even a rotation starting Schultz, Taylor, Smith at anywhere near their ceilings is insane. That would push guys like Thorpe and Canon is the back of the rotation.
  11. So much more excited for Hagen Smith than any of the hitters that were there. The White Sox develop pitching well. Play into it. Besides wonder if the Sox get some decent cap savings here, but also wonder if they think they are going to be able to get some hitting in here with the trade offers they have seen so far?
  12. Do what you are good at.
  13. That's what I was just asking. A guy who was looking at a pick or two lower, maybe you save a million or two here?
  14. I guess the next question is can they save money on that pick to push someone else down?
  15. This is my happy dance!
  16. The Sox and hamstrings scares me.
  17. Well we will know who the Sox wanted most out of the guys we talked most about now.
  18. The Sox getting a bat looks good with Burns popping up.
  19. Burns to Cincy is a nice pick for them.
  20. Yeah basically use the bracket [ then type the world "spoiler" then an end bracket, put the pick up, and then put the /spoiler at the end of the post to hide it.
  21. try not post spoilers out there
