  1. So we keep him so we can win 55 games? Nah, give me whatever we can get for him. If we want him at age 33, we can bid on him as a free agent, just like we would if we keep him. It's not like we are even going to be close to a .500 team while he is under contract anyway.
  2. I never thought I would pine foe Max Stassi to return but...
  3. This will look like 2 ER, but yeah.
  4. He did put up some pretty impressive exit velocity readings with Houston. https://www.crawfishboxes.com/2023/4/25/23697236/persistent-corey-julks-has-been-a-pleasant-surprise-for-the-astros-in-23
  5. Trying to see what the problem with this kid is that Houston is quitting on him? Anyone got any more info somewhere because I am not seeing it. I get he wasn't great with his first stop in Houston, but it seems quick to pull the plug on a guy who seems to have some tools.
  6. Looking the numbers, Julks has actually put up some impressive numbers in AAA the last few years, over .800 OPS in all of them including 30 homers two years ago. They are PCL numbers though, so probably inflated to some point. Honestly even his .650 OPS last year with Houston in his first pro play would look nice in this shithole line up.
  7. Obviously those 3.2 American innings told them everything they needed to know. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=rodrig062lui
  8. If you are proposing 2/30 there is zero reason for the Sox to do it as they already control those two years, and probably for massively cheaper than that. If you are looking at 3/45 you are buying out one free agency year for way below market, while paying WAY over market for the other two. Seems odd, but maybe depending on if the kid wants cash now, or a chance at the powerball later. If you are talking 3 free agency years at $15 million a year, that is insanely low for Crochet to sign. If he has any self worth at all, for an offer like that, he waits another year at least. As Carlos Rodon proved, you don't need much in the way of health with performance to cash in huge in free agency.
