  1. 4-0 after half an inning. Of course my inner voice is screaming to switch to NCAAs before the inevitable.
  2. There we go Cole!
  3. With Jerry still not willing to invest in this mess, it's not going to be anytime soon.
  4. Comparing the White Sox to a funeral. Perfect.
  5. I am reminded of a recent quote... then he's the dumbest masochist of all. Instead of mocking Sox fans, he should just be saying, "thank you, master, may I have another?".
  6. It's Project 2030
  7. Like I said, I will impressed if they keep Robert healthy
  8. Nah, no reason to cut him.
  9. I don't disagree with you, but when you see the San Diego Padres get sold for over 3 billion dollars you have to realize that Jerry probably cost himself hundreds of millions of dollars, hell maybe a billion, in his short-sightedness.
  10. Root for Jerry's boys? WTAF? I root for the name of the front of the jersey, and not any owner, management, or anything else. I am Chicago White Sox fan, not Jerry Reinsdorf. I also love how you slander Ishbia, who actually lives here as knowing nothing about the Southside, while Jerry parks his ass in Arizona and threatened to move the team to Florida, but that's fine.
  11. He absolutely seems to be spearheading the stadium project if you are paying attention and reading between the lines. All of the sudden he's the one making moves.
  12. There is zero places where a guy makes a commitment on a 2 billion dollars with zero say on the present situation of the company. They have to say stuff like this because of the tax implications of turning over control prematurely, but don't suffer from the delusion that he's not involved at all. That's not how this works in reality.
  13. I mean he doesn't reminisce about the Brooklyn Dodgers or David Eckstein, so not much obviously.
  14. Why is this thread randomly back again?
  15. Is it really "depth" if the team is so afraid of using it that they sign a guy off of the street so they don't have to play them?
  16. You big dummy
  17. The runway from draft to drafting team contributer is such a long period of time when compared to other sports. Basketball and Football players instanting join the active roster. A sizeable number of hockey players do. Zero baseball players do. Well maybe once in a generation. It is a big deal if a player joins the MLB in the same SEASON they are drafted. 3-5 years is a normal progression.
  18. Of all of the made up things to get mad about... this is one.
  19. There seems to be a common theme that it's the guys who are developed in other organizations have the most success here.
  20. BUT HAVE YOU SEEN HIM EAT A LOADED HOT DOG?!?!?!? Jerry, instructing his butler to throw a bottle of scotch at the screen:
  21. Yes. Bullpen pitchers collect WAY more on the open market at the deadline than a bat first, non-defender type. We have seen this over and over again. Give me the prospects, all day, every day. And the real prospects, not the former top 50 guy who flopped in his first year in MLB after being exposed.
