  1. Exploding like a virgin on prom night.
  2. It'd be nice if one of these media types actually followed up with this question.
  3. So are we seeing if he can do it, or is Chris having a senior moment?
  4. Get that off-season talk, speculation and reports out here.
  5. This thread will almost certainly be locked.
  6. Is this an MLB deal? Not seeing any clear reporting. Hoping for an MiLB deal to get him to camp and hold another roster spot.
  7. Wouldn't shock me if it happened before the season starts.
  8. I don't even know that it is "part of the problem", but I do know it does nothing to move the needle with fans and attendance. "It's not that bad" Stadium does nothing for the White Sox.
  9. From today's The Athletic.
  10. And outside of a World Series title, it takes YEARS for fans to start showing up again. This last time with back to back playoff appearances, they really didn't. When things are bad, no one shows up. This location doesn't really add anything to the attendance or viewing of this franchise. Look at what Cubs attendance looks like in down years. THAT is a homefield advantage when people to go just see the stadium, no matter what the team looks like. Is this stadium easy for me to get to? Yes. Will it be easier to get to than one at the 78, also yes, but only if I drive. But the proof is in the historic numbers. People don't go to see the White Sox because of the park. They go to see them win. That's it. If there was a park factor, attendance wouldn't fall off to the bottom of MLB when they are bad.
  11. Next on the White Sox greatest hits album....
  12. I mean the only regret is that that Bears don't have the Patriots defense, because if Drake had the Bears defense, he would have been golfing a month ago.
  13. You rabbitholed me, but if Fernando Mendozas NIL deal was a White Sox contract, he would be paid more than around 18 players on the Sox roster.
  14. When he talked about cleaning s%*# up, who knew it was so literal.
  15. The Sox have essentially been in the same spot since 1910, and have one of the smallest fan bases in MLB in terms of showing up. I cannot accept the idea that being in Bridgeport is some sort of a benefit to the White Sox.
  16. It shows some should have paid more attention to their teachers
  17. When they take the money out of your check for it, it isn't a favor
  18. Because undeveloped (which it is now) vs developed is very different valuations.
  19. This. We COULD have had him six plus years as a starter.
  20. This. See also: Taylor, Grant
  21. You got a kid that's not very good we can take in the 2nd round?
  22. The same problem with Taylor, exists with both Schultz and Smith and that is conditioning. If they can't even go 100 innings, wasting a season pitching them out of the pen is just another step closer to them never starting. I know people are on the Sale/Crochet bandwagon, but for the vast majority of cases, once you go to the pen you don't come out, especially if you don't have a real innings base under you before you do it.
  23. It's a fight over property taxes more than anything.
