What did you see for Mogollon that makes you so much more pessimistic vs FutureSox and everyone else?

Chicago has 3 appointees, as does the governor. The Gov does get to appoint the chairman, but only at the consent of the Mayor of Chicago.

Again, we all know there are more teams around the NFL that need good QBs than have them. Someone will pay up to give Fields a chance in their system. The PR game is just that, a game.

No, they thought they were going to get some huge break to move out of the city, that didn't happen, so now they are doubling back to the lakefront if they can get a better deal.

The upside may well be is that they don't get ISFA money to move out of Chicago as a significant portion of that board is appointed by the Mayor of Chicago.

Sure, but there is only one Fields to go around in a league without enough QBs. Eventually someone has to know that if they step up they get him, and the longer they wait, the more they risk not having anything once the round of QBs ends.

And when the Sox start regular season games, they will all be televised and replayed as well.

If the 3 top WRs go, we already know the top 3 QBs at least will go early. That means we probably didn't see a run on the defensive players and/or the OTs. which wouldn't be an awful thing to pick at #9 either.

It is probably got more to do with the teams ratings to be honest. There are always more broadcasts in years where there is more excitement about the team.

So consistently bad?

That would be a terrible strategy in 2024. You need to keep as much talent in the system as possible, not win 65 games instead of 62.

Despite the rage, that was the point of bringing in tons of shitty place holders this off season. Quit rushing kids and allow them to simmer as they need instead of putting them into bad situations they weren't ready for. Maybe not rushing the next Andrew Vaughn and forcing him into the OF as a lumbering ox allows him to at least learn how to hit first before being shoved into the majors. I have no idea how this will all end up, but there are at least a couple of signs that look better to me.

In the AL Central? With a balanced schedule? Yeah no. 2, maybe 3 tops. Too many other huge spending teams to suck up those wins around the rest of baseball.

A decent amount of this list would have been top 20 guys a couple of years ago. It is nice to see a building of some real depth in the system.

You think the AL Central is going to field 4 ~> .500 teams in a single season with balanced schedules? I can't see that.
