  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 03:06 PM) bigtime loser. He kicks puppies and hates children Especially orphan children.
  2. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 02:59 PM) do they pay federal income taxes in Puerto Rico? I would guess no, since their House Rep is a non-voting member and they can't vote in Presidential elections or have a senator. 4 million people x Avg Taxable Income of $20,000/person x 15% taxable Rate= $12 billion in Federal Tax Income (not to mention corporate taxes) If you are making $20k, you aren't paying federal income taxes.
  3. The US just dominated that first period, despite Eddie O saying the period was "even". It could have easily been 3-0.
  4. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) never realized how large the population was in Puerto Rico. If made a state, its population would rank #27. (in between Kentucky and Oregon) I don't know if it has changed lately, but they have repeated voted down wanting statehood.
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:41 AM) unfortunately my online sarcasm-o-meter is pretty unreliable, but for the record there really are people out there who still only think global warming is an evil liberal fabrication. I know first hand. QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 02:41 PM) ummm.... Abortion is SO not a safer topic. It's actually a pretty controversial issue. Keep finetuning...
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 12:26 PM) 2B Beckham SS Ramirez CF Harnden DH Quentin 1B Konerko 3B Teahen C Pierzynski RF Rios LF Pierre If wishes really do come true when you blow out the candles, anyway. Can't we have Kotsay or something decent?
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 12:46 PM) Why would anybody go out and say they're against it though...? Just makes them look suspicious. Most of them will give a non-answer or ignore the question.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 12:19 PM) Oh goodie, another contentious CBA issue for the NFL. Go owners. Push that one hard. You have my support. 100%
  9. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 01:21 PM) You cannot attack one of the Democrat hacks after linking Michelle Malkin. Right because no one ever attacks a Republican by linking left wing hacks... Oh wait, that is called the Democrat thread.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 12:11 PM) I think the issue is...he can't do that on his own because that is collectively bargained issue, while he may well be able to do that for the minor league teams. He can as commissioner because he holds the one trump card. "The good of the game".
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 12:00 PM) I know what Boone Logan did four years ago, but Bellamy isn't even a NRI. With the glut of righties the Sox have, I don't see Bellamy getting too many calls to big league camp this spring. I was hoping he would have been invited though. I hope he goes to AA to start the year. Then you'll know they think a lot of him. There are probably 10-15 guys in front of him right now.
  12. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 11:31 AM) I would think Hudson wins in a landslide, with the exception of those very convinced that long relief would stunt his development as a starter. I think if it were on talent, he would win for sure. But I think the Sox will want another starter ready just in case early in the season. Once we get to Juneish, if Garcia is still going strong, Hudson comes up to replace someone who is struggling.
  13. I went with Cabrera, I could see Santos being traded for a hitter in a similar roster situation. Hudson will be in AAA as a starter just in case Garcia falls apart.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 10:57 AM) GMTA
  15. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:46 AM) If there really is an open bullpen slot... .. doesn't Dolsi's track record indicate he's the far and away most reliable option? Not to hype him up or anything, but just mainly looking at these other two guys. Only thing in his way would be Santos' contract status, but they're not going to let that get in the way of putting the best team out there. He's not that reliable. That's why a team like Detroit that needed cheap arms released him.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) Ozzie Guillen's sons Ozzie Jr. and Oney actually handling dad's tweets, says the manager. per Mark Gonzales Oh, and if you want to follow me, its @SBekovic. Done.
  17. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 10:02 AM) They make one for a Texans view of the world that is pretty good as well.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 10:22 AM) Yeah, but it's not like it's a personal tryout. Any other team in the league can watch the games. He isn't really going to play in any games. They do get to see him in all of the workouts and in practices, which no one else does.
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 10:05 AM) Yeah, but I don't think watching him shoot free throws for the next few months will have the Bulls all hot and bothered. We'll see, though. They essentially get them for a few month tryout period.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 07:51 AM) MLB is planning to deploy the HGH test throughout the minor leagues. Now if only Selig would man up and force tests at the major league level.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:14 AM) Best part of the episode was to see Locke show up at the end. I got chills. It got me wondering if different people see the people differently, because at one point she is with Christian, and she also said it isn't John, it is her "friend".
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 11:10 PM) Supposedly the Bears top target in free agency is Julius Peppers with Aaron Kampman as a backup. Saw it on roto. Have fun. Because we all know the Bears will pay two guys $15 million a year, or more...
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:39 AM) They'd have to do it in the next few months since they are both expirings. They could always resign them as filler spots after the big free agent stuff is done.
  24. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) http://twitter.com/s***mydadsays and Ozzie. Twitter is going to have a pretty good handle on comedic tweets these days. They could be one and the same feeds...
