  1. You don't say?
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 08:31 AM) why is that depressing? I think it is a relief, we had 3 straight weeks of 40 degree rainy weather It means it is all downhill for like 5 or 6 months.
  3. It is really depressing to think that this is most likely Indian Summer right now...
  4. Big Bang Theory was great last night.
  5. Unbelievable.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 07:37 AM) Hey look, Manny's clutch hit and catch tied up the series 2-2. http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/mannys-grab-...-tie-nlcs-26550 Wait, the Phillies LEAD 3-1? eh? DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN!!!
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 12:01 AM) I would normally agree, but I expect some desperate team to offer him something we just aren't willing to go near... Who?
  8. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 11:38 PM) Can I ask how you know we'd have to trade a big contract in order to add one? I really don't have too much insight about the Sox's projected payroll for 2010. I just keep reading people's posts saying we're pretty much maxed out. I'm curious if people have heard something I haven't. We are at $90 million essentially without adding a single free agent. Keep in mind that we went from 2,500,648 to 2,284,163 in total attendance, and we are publicly worried as an organization about losing major sponsors this year. If we add a 10 million dollar player that puts us at one hundred million dollars, which is a bit more than 2009, with all of those negative factors? Yeah, that isn't going to happen.
  9. Perhaps someone can translate that last one as well?
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) It wouldnt be the only time Cubs fans and media have made a player out to be something that they arent, or have taken it to the extreme though. It isn't like Bradley has only had problems here either...
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 08:35 PM) Would you do 2/$20 to beat the Angels offer? Are people willing to offer than and realize you have to trade at least one big contract to get that, and oh yeah, he might be playing the field?
  12. No idea how to translate that one to English...
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 12:07 PM) And then CNN can fact check it! QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 02:31 PM) Now CNN is covering the coverage of the story. Reminds me of their Pulitzer-worthy look back on their own Michael Jackson coverage. What a garbage network. Why does anyone waste their time with the cable news media? Close enough...
  14. Advent is just around the corner as well, but you don't see the shelves stocked for it, do you?
  15. QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 12:15 PM) Yeah, yeah, yeah... Another sh*tty day in paradise. I feel for you. I know. I would still trade.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 11:55 AM) Gotta think SNL does something with it too And then CNN can fact check it!

My answer as a fellow NW INer is to listen to 780 AM and check the traffic report. Distance-wize it is way quicker through the city, but if you are talking about AM, it is rush hour, which would suck, and most likely the tollway would be quicker (you do have IPASS/IZOOM right?). If you are talking about PM, go through the city for sure.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 10:36 PM) How many games will Huet have to blow before we pull the plug on him? When you are paying the guy what you are, you are pretty much stuck with him play a pretty significant amount.
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 10:57 AM) Waddle and Silvy report that KC Derrick Johnson, KC linebacker is on the block and the Bears are rumored to be hot after him... thoughts? My thought is why can't we be hot after an actual offensive lineman?
  20. QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 09:35 AM) That's what I thought. So basically, no reputable news agency would ever have believed it. Shouldn't EVERY sports guy in the nation know that rule? I don't know if there is anything to stop teams from negotiating, but yes, there would not be anything getting out at this point.
  21. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 09:58 AM) Indeed. How much faster can you go?
  22. I really hope that we get a smackdown of a news agency or two by the prosecutors office, if they were really involved. Maybe this will lead to some of these groups covering actual news again.
  23. Xmas stuff already? Ugh.
  24. QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 08:35 AM) Can teams make trades before the end of the World Series? Nope. Baseball shuts down that type of stuff until the WS is over.
