The Sox should be way closer to the Dodgers than the freaking Pirates and As. The freaking Padres can do it.

There are plenty of teams that can compete. That's ridiculous.

Yet CNBC reported the Yankees led MLB in revenue last season.

And we know those things for other teams too.

Or don't understand the revenue's of a team is a direct result of the investment made into the team, just like any other business.

Then how the hell are you boldly proclaiming that the Dodgers are ahead of everyone?

Sox fans have major PTSD. Instead of being mad at our lazy owner for shutting the door on tons of different ways to try to win, we are pissed at the teams who are trying to win in every way possible. It's wild.

The big problem with a cap is that MLB isn't like the other sport in that they have an anti-trust exemption, and the lions share of money comes from local deals, and not national ones. You can't build a model that works the same way, because the revenues aren't the same way, The problem isn't that the Dodgers are spending, its that so many teams who can, are not.

They aren't though. Take a lot at what the Yankees make on paper.

Why are we acting like they are the only loaded franchise?

And the easiest way to increase it is to win.

Yes, I will judge a team as trying to win harder than it's peers as "better". Spending money isn't the only thing by far, but it sure freaking helps.

It's a great example of management who looks their employees straight in the eyes and effectively tells them, sure I could be doing more, but why aren't YOU doing more.

Do you know sports at all? Almost 1/3 of the NFL isn't located in the town in their name. Both NY teams are in NJ. Washington is in Maryland.

Also for the record the Cubs madw almost 9 figures on paper last year, and probably just as much off the books in Wrigleyville. The fact they didn't lead the way for Tucker should piss off every Cub fan out there after they wasted trade chips to get him for a year.
