“The 78” is alive and well, moisturized and thriving , Viva La Canal's Edge!
I don't think the Bears will ACTUALLY move, though I think Indiana is going to back up the brinks truck to try to make it happen, and extract some pretty ugly gains out of Illinois ot make it happen. Indiana doesn't care about things like it's people, infrastructure, or education, but they do care about big business. They would love nothing more than to steal the Bears, and if they can at least hurt Illinois in the process, that's a win to them.

I get Chicagoans will have a meltdown at first, but they will still go to games. The rest of the country has proven that.

How? Its almost exactly the same distance and geographic layout where the stadium goes from central location in a city, to the edge of one significant side of the population base, but still close and accessible.

With as many teams as aren't located in their proper city's anymore, I do not think this is true. Sure as heck hasn't harmed the Jets, Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, Rams, Chargers, 49ers, Bills or Dolphins. Why are the Bears different. To be clear, I do not think it happens, though I think Indiana will be perfectly willing to throw a ton of money and resources at the Bears to make Chicago/Illinois bid up.

He's 100% getting traded now. You don't come back from that.

White Sox claim C Drew Romo off waivers, DFA Ben Cowles
It probably also means that if a dude like this is on waivers, a guy like Korey Lee isn't worth a spit.

White Sox claim C Drew Romo off waivers, DFA Ben Cowles
It's still weird that we are hoarding catchers when we refuse to let our catchers do anything other than catch.

Well cross him off the list then.

Another catcher? Well that is probably a statement.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
I already have, and you are word playing statements to try to get around it, while simultaneously making the case that everyone lies, which goes back to you supporting my original point. Again. He's not lying. He is lying. Even if he is lying, everyone does it, so it's ok.

So, again. He's not lying. He is lying. Even if he is lying, everyone does it, so it's ok. Thanks again.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
It's funny you say this, but yet you proceed to very clearly agree with me that he is manipulating the truth and not giving the whole truth to people, meanwhile telling everyone its actually not happening, but even if he is, it is perfectly ok, because of how you buy cars, and you definitely can't handle it being said without having to rushing to defend it. Again. Mock it all you like, but then stop making my points for me.

I have repeatedly. If you don't understand that, that's on you. If I am not explaining in a way you can accept, that is also on you.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
And if it happens, we will back to the point in this cycle where he has no value, because he has no control and an injury history. We have done all of this before. I have no idea why we think something is going to change, but here we are.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
If you "don't need" it, why do you keep chasing me around to tell me how wrong I am? Why the need to literally make up things like "good" and "evil"? Why the need to worry about the definition of parsed words while completely ignoring context? If you are so secure in your beliefs, there should be no need to spend this much effort telling the world how I need to just be quiet and accept everything I am told at face value. Run along then.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
So you can admit that Getz is perfectly willing to lie to us, but then get all up in a bunch to justify him doing exactly that when someone points out that is pretty clearly lying to us. Weird, because I think you are the one who is upset that someone is questioning the Great and Powerful Getz, hence the effort to parse his words and make everything okey dokey. Getz is lying, not lying, and justified in lying, all at once. That is covering some bases.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
"Glean" all you like. You can try to turn this into playing around with the definition of "is" is type of garbage, but if Chris Getz is in pretty deep talks with the Reds and Mets, he is pretty actively looking to trade him, even if Chris Getz won't call it "shopping" so that Luis Robert can be Schrödinger's trade bait. You can play games with the phrase "shopping" so that Chris Getz comes out immaculate in your scenario, but big picture, this is just playing the dupe again. Getz will piss on us and call it a golden shower, doesn't mean that is accurate.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
I am saying Chris Getz is lying through his teeth when he talks about keeping Luis Robert, and the fact that the rest of baseball keeps talking about other MLB teams engaging in pretty healthy trade talks according to reporters who don't see their living depending on keeping the White Sox happy is a pretty clear confirmation of that. We KNOW that Chris Getz will tell us whatever story is convenient at the time to sell to the general public, so I am not sure why we are taking what Getz tells to Merkin as gospel here.
