  1. QUOTE(BDavisFutureHOF @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) Seriously -- this is f***ing KILLING me! I want to be at home soo bad sittin gon my couch, drinkin a beer (or 8) and watching this game but yet time is f***ing CREEPING by................ :banghead ^^^^^ Stupid f@#%ing work
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) I dont really want to start a whole new thread, so I will just put this here. This from SoSH I added in the Red just to eliminate confusion. That is the exact problem the WHITE Sox have had for years before this one. They would go out and score a bunch of runs one night, and very few the next couple, but when you added the total runs scored you get an obscene total that is ultra-impressive. It would be interesting to see what their standard deviations for runs scored are.
  3. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) Pardon my stupidity, but could you explain what that means? I have always had trouble with understanding that stuff. Thanks! -108 means you would have to bet $108 to win your money back plus $100. If you see plus odds you bet $100 to win the amount, plus your original $100 back.
  4. Happy Birthday dude
  5. Steam "Kiss Him Goodbye" should be a prerequisite.
  6. A prior (3rd) grand jury had refused to indict Delay, and the 2nd one only indicted him after "new evidence" emerged after a 3 year investigation. http://www.statesman.com/metrostate/conten.../10/5earle.html
  7. We are having problems with too much load on MYSQL, because basically it sucks. One of the features that runs the most queries and bogs down the board the most is the search feature. Right now allowing a huge number people to post and view the board is a priority, so we are doing away with some of the higher query running features for now. An upgrade in the off season is something we are looking at.
  8. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 09:40 AM) That board would not be so bad if the board members took a couple of phonics classes. And they got rid of all of the trolls
  9. Glad to see the Hawks got something for him, as anyone could have claimed him if they didn't get a trade done.
  10. QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) I'm tired of you bad-mouthing everything around here. Ban him! Don't make me break out an unsanctioned personal attack on you.
  11. QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 09:36 AM) You were WAY off. :rolly Yet still way more accurate than Tom Skilling... Go figure
  12. Word of advice. Drop ESPN.com message boards. They suck. That is all.
  13. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) Ahem. . . I just have one thing to say: WHO DA WEATHER MAN?!?!!
  14. Interesting. Very interesting. Even more fun would be to have Ozzie go out and have him checked out.
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) Actually the thing that intreagues me about Clement is his second half fades. This year he was 1-3 with an era of 6 in September. Last year he was 0-1 in Sept with a 7.36 era and was dropped from the rotation by the Cubs. 2003 he was 2-1 in Sept with a 4.45 era, but got murdered in the playoffs. His last 4 years totaled up he was 4-8 with an era of almost 6. It almost makes me wonder if that heavy slider he throws beats up his arm worse than we know, and he doesn't have anything left by the time he gets over 200 innings pitched. After yesterday I feeling pretty damned good about this bit of analysis [pats self on back]
  16. QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 07:41 AM) Very, very cool. What building is that, Mike? QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 07:46 AM) Blue Cross / Blue Shield And then I believe the tall building is/was the IBM building right? I don't get out of the financial district very often
  17. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) Scott Borass is his agent. There is zero chance of him signing the first offer he gets. I totally expect Millwood to get a multiyear $10 million/yr contract from someone else.
  18. QUOTE(scotty22hotty @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 02:03 AM) Are they selling SRO tickets? They had 40,717 at the game yesterday, which is 1000 more than any other game they have had in 2005, so I would guess they sold 1000 SROs for the playoffs. I don't know if there is any way to verify that, but it is just an observation.
  19. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) I believe that's the same building that in 2000 said "SOX". I guess they have pride this time around too. I get off the train right there (or at least I am guessing that is Jackson and Michigan) and actually in 2000 the taller building next to it, also had something in lights. Maybe that is coming later.
  20. Nice bunt by Tads. Keep in mind that pods was perfect this year in stealing 3rd base...
  21. Let's get it started Pods
  22. Red Sox threaten do not score as Manny rolls one to the Rally Crede to end the first inning. No score, White Sox coming to bat
