I have been to about a dozen parks, give or take one, and the renovations at Comiskey have made it one, if not the best stadiums I have been to. I love the place now.

It was meant to be honest. Many people give to the homeless out of the good of their own hearts. Many need every penny they get. If you implant doubt in a small portion of the people who give them money, that could be the difference between getting a meal or not for some people. It could be the difference between sleeping on the street or affording a cheap room. This honestly does bother me.

And to bring the arguement all full circle, they are saying that year of Uribe's was better than ANY year that Orlando has had, including having Manny and Vlad hit behind him for all but 3 months of his career.

Care to explain the legitimacy of an award that gives a Gold Glove to a guy who plays 28 game at first base? Or do you have more BS based on faulty pretenses to spout?

Gold Gloves are popularity contests. When a player can play primarily DH and still win a GG, that tells me all I need to know about the award. It is much like the all-star team in that regard.

Given the choice, I would definately go with Eck over Cora. Eck would fill more roles on this team, including 2 hitter and SS.

Actually the funny thing is that it was exactly the fans reaction and season ticket holders writing/calling in and calling the team cheap and threatening to cancel their tickets that got this deal held up in the first place. Basically Dodger fans were making all of the exact same complaints that have gone on here....

Dispite MSFT illegal business practices, I do have tons of respect for the Gates's. They do tons of charity work and they really get into it, really trying to indentify vital causes and doing what they can to aid them. IIRC Bill Gates has said before that he plans to give away the vast majority of his wealth before his death, very similar to what Andrew Carnagie did.
